DICE’s Star Wars Battlefront is the latest installment in the Battlefront series. It is the first title in the series to appear on the Xbox One and Playstation 4. The game will also be available on PC. On October 8th, players on all platforms were invited to take part in a completely open beta test. The beta consisted of a single-player or co-op survival mode and two multiplayer maps. The Battlefront series lives and dies by its large-scale multiplayer fps experience, the author can expect most players to give the two multiplayer maps their full attention. Played it this past weekend. Was not as impressed as I was when I played the originals. The immersion was there but it just felt like it was too close to the battlefield series.
