Hopefully this game is good. I like xillia but it felt lacking in terms of exploration to me somehow.

I don't know what you're talking about. Xillia 2 is great. The story, gameplay, and content (side quest etc) are better than Xillia 1.

I'm sorry but I disagree. Xillia 1 was better in every way from part 2.

I mean the protagonist not having a voice alone killed not only the comedy that the other games have in the talk scenes but struck me as an odd choice of design.

That and being forced to grind to pay off that ridiculous debt was in my opinion a lazy excuse at keeping the player in a certain zone and extending the gameplay.

Not only that but that girl kept popping up asking for her payments repeatedly, it got way too annoying.

I loved re-visiting all the great characters from Xillia 1, but it just didn't have that same feeling as 1 did. Almost as if the Tales B team made this game.

You can unlock the protagonist voices by finished the game and play it again in new game+. Also, the protagonist talked a lot in some event, especially the event when you meet Elle's "father" and the event with Julius before the final dungeon.

The debt system is kinda interesting. I can understand though why some people said it's lazy / repetitive. But considering the battle system are fun and you only need to pay a small ammount of money to proceed with the main story than i don't see any problem with it.

Uh duh, she's the debt collector so obviously she will asking the players a lot. Personally i don't find her annoying.

Oh you can unlock the voice? Interesting, I didn't finish the game so I didn't know that. But why have it locked? Does he automatically say the choices you made in the first play through?

But that was a problem, not being able to proceed to the next level because you owe money just seemed like a cheap tactic to stall the user and make it appear the game is longer than it actually is.

By a lot I mean her calls were coming in every single time I defeated an enemy. And I mean every time.

In my opinion Xillia 2 didn't have the charm part 1 had and especially not as good as Vesperia.

But maybe one day i'll go back and brave through it.

im almost done with xillia 2 but forgot about this, i was gonna sell my PS3 for a PS4 afterwards but then this game is still here for PS3 and with no confirmed date for localization im not sure i will wait

Ever since the fall of the turn based rpg for main consoles I've been more and more appreciative of the tales of series. At least I get a jrpg to play that's usually average to above average and it actually releases with more entries.

but i think most tales games are above average, they dont have the budget or visuals of FF but the gameplay and story are top notch
