Alien Isolation sequel 'a daily topic' at Creative Assembly

Creative Assembly discusses the idea for a sequel to Alien Isolation on a daily basis, lead game designer Gary Napper has revealed, stating that if a sequel does get greenlit, he would like it to place a greater emphasis on the player's interaction with the environment while sticking "to the same terrifying single Alien approach".

ATM I'm preparing myself mentally for my Nightmare run. I'm so so happy they released this patch along with the patch that solves the framerate stutter during cutscenes. My first playthrough on Hard lasted me 25 hours spread over 2 months because it was so freaking intense. These Christmas holidays are going to be epic.

I did love the minimalist stealth horror of this one but it would be cool to see them progress from emulating the feel of the first movie to emulating its sequel. They're the only team I'd trust to nail the feel of Aliens, upping the scope and pace of the first one without just turning it into another dumb brotastic shooter.

I wonder if they'll up the ante and make it a bit more military/well armed.. Still keeping similar gameplay though. It'd be interesting to see Amanda's story mirror Ellen's, and it would be nice to get an "Aliens"-ish game that doesn't completely miss the point like they usually do.

Hell, if it was a bit more aliens but still maintained the Alien aesthetic and didn't go OTT by making you too powerful it could be amazing.

Making it too similar to A:I doesn't seem sensible given it already had a really long campaign that already covered all of the bases. Let's see them try some new stuff!

I really enjoyed Alien Isolation. Hopefully in the sequel they will develop the gameplay but also mix it up with full-on (but not over powered) gunplay. Rescue missions? Tactical retreat/defence?

At much as I want more of this, Alien: Isolation was perfect. No need for a sequel CA.

I totally agree with the sentiment on here: Isolation was amazing, but a sequel should change it up. I don't want this to be a action game, but if they could bring that sense of fear and danger to a shooter it would be incredible. Bring Aliens to us the way you brought Alien. Make every alien dangerous, but not invulnerable. Regardless, I am excited to see what comes next. They "get" the franchise and developed a hell of a game.

It was an awesome game. It was slow for a tad too long but it really picked up. I loved it.
