Those are some boring titles. Hope I don't just end up needing to get a ps4. Always wanted to get a ps3 along with the 360 cause it kept having decent sounding exclusives

skhawar3428d ago

Looking forward to many of these. Especially The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - It's going to make for an awesome livestream series

christocolus3428d ago

same here most of them are on my to buy list ori, cuphead ,TR, witcher3, batman and quantum break. Halo 5 should be in there and if scalebound gets released in 2015 i'll go crazy..hope it delivers though. platinum im talking to you.

joab7773428d ago

I bought a 360 for Mass Effect. When Xbone gets something like that, that I can't miss, I will get one.

It isn't that it doesn't have good games, it's that PS4'S exclusives are better to me, and I'm not gonna have time to play other games. Dragon Age, The Witcher 3, and Bloodborne will keep me busy for awhile.

lifeisgamesok3428d ago

Different strokes for different folks

I haven't been impressed by one Bloodborne trailer yet

I was impressed by 1 The Order trailer

Quantum Break impresses me more than anything on the PS4

roland823428d ago

What games are on the ps4 that you simply can't miss now?

Magicite3428d ago

Scalebound most probably wont be coming in 2015.
Remaining are either multi or timed or very weak exclusives.
Only strong hit is Quantum Break.

OpieWinston3428d ago

Most probably? You mean most likely...

And look it's dmitrijs downplaying an Xbox article by trying to make everything sound weak except one.

Is scalebound going to hit in 2015? We don't know, but it could have an early 2016 release since Kamiya thinks development is coming along nicely. But then again Kamiya only follows his plans so he'll release the game when he thinks it's ready.

Very weak exclusives? If Ori is weak to you then there's a hole in your heart.

Because that game combines strong feels with amazing pace and music.

State of Decay Year one weak? SoD sold extremely well and was received well as an amazing Zombie horror survival fantasy title.

Fable legends is more for the people who enjoy Dungeon Crawlers like Diablo.
Halo 5 Guardians is for people who enjoy fast paced shooters.
Phantom Dust is for people who enjoy a solid Action JRPG.

But I guess that's all....weak

IGiveHugs2NakedWomen3428d ago (Edited 3428d ago )

I'm actually wondering what games Xbox One has scheduled for Spring 2015, Summer 2015, and Fall 2015.

Pneuma: Breath of Life - January 2015

State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition - Q2 2015

Crackdown, Azito x Tatsunoko Legends, Mystereet F: The Detectives’ Curtain Call, Natsuki Chronicle, Nero, Neverwinter, Psycho-Pass, Raiden, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Screamride, and Shooting Love Trilogy all have 2015 place holders with no definitive release date.

So the Xbox One only has two console exclusive games with definitive release windows. The rest of the Xbox console exclusive lineup is tentative at best.

halfblackcanadian3428d ago

Orin is now Q1

Streamside is Q1 or Q2 (don't recall but they dated it)

Rise of Tomb Raider is Q4

Some of those games are China only, no indication of release elsewhere.

Crackdown is only spoken of as a 2015 release by fans. I don't think MS has even implied next year (I could be wrong)

But yeas, early 2015 seems a little anemic

The games it has right now is the reason to buy it right now. Those who are waiting on future games can but it in the future. A lot of X1 sales right now isn't just price, wiiu is cheaper. It is because of games that are on the console , right now, that people want to play like:SSOD, Halo MCC, Forza both, Ryse( yep it's fun), the COD community, TF, PvZ, Minecraft (now owned by M$. It all adds up. Then you go ahead and add apps like Skype and snap along with some futuristic voice control. I have been using voice commands alot in Dragon Age. It's just more convenient than poking through menus.

All these things in combination make X1 very appealing here in the U.S. and I think the u.k. Is once again coming around to appreciating what is different about Xbox. Having more options is not a bad thing.

PS4 is a good gaming device too, but there are some differences that appeal more to different people

The majority of XBO sales are attributed to price and the holiday season.

Most of the XBO exclusives were out before November, and sales weren't nearly where they are today. XBO was averaging in the 120k - 140k range WW prior to the November price drop since releasing in new regions back in September. The only time sales boost into the 200k range was with the release of a highly anticipated game which were Destiny and Fifa.

Games were not the reason the XBO went from averaging 140k in weekly sales up to over 400k it was the price drop and holiday sales.

SO did nothing for XBO sales (November 1st, price cut did), Forza did nothing for XBO sales (the Fifa bundle did), Ryse can't really say since it was a launch title but seeing how it's not a top 10 XBO seller and wasn't the best selling launch title either (Ryse did little for XBO), PvZ is on PS4 and did nothing for either, Minecraft is on multiple platforms and there's no word on a sequel.

The XBO isn't selling good now because of games, it's selling because a former $500 console is now $330 + 2 games + gift cards (up to $50) + $100 off PS360 trade-in promotion (aka easily get an XBO for $230 + 2 games + $50 gift card).

The $330 XBO is nearly the same price as the Wii U bundle, and the $230 XBO ends the argument about the Wii U being cheaper. And unlike the Wii U the XBO can be a primary console for most people, because it offers a large enough of a technological upgrade over the 360, and it has full 3rd party support (something Nintendo will never have with making great strides).

As far as the UK goes the XBO has been cheaper than the PS4 for a while there, and already on its 3rd price drop in the UK as of September, which is why sales have picked up there as well.

XBO was never going to outsell the PS4 with a $500 price point. The PS3 outsold the 360 last-gen with the 360 have price advantage all generation long, XBO had no chance with the situation reversed.

The fact that you could realistically get an XBO for $230 + 2 games + $50 gift card + Holiday shopping season, is the reason sales tripled for the month not games. On top of that PS4 still sold more units WW each week that month, and sold more copies of multiplat games goes to show that. The release of Halo: MCC, Far Cry 4, and GTAV were just icing on the cake.

The XBO is a good gaming console as well (I have one), but that price drop is the real reason it has a bittersweet success story this holiday (great for gamers being able to get the console for $230, great for MS for increasing install base, but somebody has to pay for the potential $240 in savings and that falls back on MS, hence bittersweet).

Allsystemgamer3428d ago

That's how I got my x1. I traded and got it for $75 lol

ABizzel13428d ago

@Allsystemgamer

That's how many people got their XBO. September is when the promotion started for trading in your PS360, and it bumped sales up to a 140k average per week. (which is when I got mine)

November was the $50 - $70 price drop, plus all the bonus stuff (games & gift cards), and the promotion was still going on. It made sense for most people to upgrade then, which is why sales jumped from 140k up to +400k.

If games were the sole reason then sales would have been much higher in September - October. It was the price drop + Holiday inflation that helped XBO.

I couldn't have said it any better.

3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

DustMan19d ago

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave19d ago (Edited 19d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
