Crash generation was amazing we had plenty of characters in the PS universe crash, spyro, gex, parappa etc.. all these icons of playstation are what made the playstation 1 iconic and helps made the ps2 the highest selling console of all time. Then Sony and 3rd partys gave up on them and Activision turned spyro into skylanders and scrapped the original game.

Modern Naughty Dog has no interest in Jak and Daxter. And if they do, it'll be a third person linear shooter. Not a great platformer like the original.

It's a memory that PlayStation remembers fondly now that their 20th birthday is right around the corner. Of course, that'd make for less of an eye-grabbing title.

Is it possible that we'll see a new Crash come PlayStation Experience? Yes. But a namedrop isn't a teaser. This would be a teaser:

"Think we'll see this guy again?" or "Crash has been lying dormant for twenty years, and boy is he angry"

If it's another Crash Bandicoot from Activision then I don't really care about it. Just look at the gif that they tweeted. Crash looks fine except in the final image where they tried to make him look edgy by removing his trademark gloves and slapping tattoos all over him.

You can blame Radical & Sierra Entertainment for that. Activision had nothing to do with Crash until they purchased Sierra Entertainment in 2008 (and the Crash IP along with them). The tattoo design was introduced in 2007's Crash of the Titans. The 2008 game, Mind Over Mutant, which also featured the tattoo design, was near completion when Activision purchased the IP, so it was quickly finished.

Activision hasn't actually done anything with the IP other than the mobile kart racer 'Nitro Kart 2' which featured the classic Crash look.

Who ever they get will talk about their 30th anniversary then they will say something along the lines of "I'd like to show you some footage for Uncharted 4 but first I would like to tell you about a project a small group from naughty dog has been working on with the fine folks at Sanzaru Games".

The lights dim and the trailer starts.

Scene starts out spaceship flying through sky exploding, it's pieces are falling apart looks very realistic. *Black screen* A Girl says "He's here? Where is he? Where has he been? A Man in deep voice with an accent says "he's been in a world of repetitiveness a curse was put upon him but now he is back" Girl says "we need him he's our only hope!"

*Switches to a scene with the spaceship still flying and falling through the sky You see a mountain in the distance*

Black boot hits ground of snow You see orange fur Flowing. Switches back to spaceship a piece of the spaceship. Explodes and falls to the ground About 50 feet behind the Black Booted Figure. The spaceship part starts falling down the mountain grabbing snow turning into a ball of death.

The camera swings around The figure to show a buffed up tattooed crash bandicoot. You see his ears twitch and he turns around with a worried face. He sees the ball of death and immediately reverts back to the normal crash bandicoot comedically fast.

At that point he starts to run away from the ball of death similar to how you would run in Crash bandicoot games.

*It then switches to a bunch of different Scenes of gameplay very fast*

Then switches to a cinematic of crash bandicoot on his motorcycle in his leather jacket hitting nitro going up a ramp. He jumps off his bike in mid air and does a spin.

The camera goes in slow motion as his tongue hits the camera and it pushes it further away from him saliva specks on the camera.

Now in non-slow motion His jacket and sun glasses fly off He then faces the camera still in mid air and from behind his back he pulls an Apple launcher and shoots it straight at the camera the Apple splats on the camera. *black screen* "Crash is Back Holiday 2015"
Crash Bandicoot theme starts to play and crash dances across the text.

Then on to the Uncharted gameplay.

That's my problem with a Crash Bandicoot return it needs to be 25 levels and 5 bosses across 5 warp rooms and five additional levels in a secret warp room.

None of this open world stuff, I'd just want classic gameplay.
In fact I think I'd prefer a remake of the first three games (and Wrath of Cortex, that game was so close to being good it's almost painful)

Though I think I read somewhere that the next step for crash (if it would have been made by ND) would have been open world/freeroam. I think Cerny was in charge of that.

Then they left Universal, and they/travellers tale couldnt use the old project so they made Wrath of Cortex, then Twinsanity (I think Twinsanity was pretty decent).

I don't think I'll be able to control my excitement if this happens. Crash Bandicoot was a big part of my childhood, and I think many of you can say the same. Sony needs to do whatever means necessary to bring their beloved mascot back! No matter how much money it'll cost, I personally believe it'll be worth it, because I know tons of people who would not only buy a new Crash game, but would buy the PS4 just to play it! MAKE IT HAPPEN SONY! And make it EXCLUSIVE, Crash belongs on Playstation :)

Two huge major announcements coming Dec 6th/7th at the Playstation Experience event in Vegas.

The first one is a new Crash Bandicoot game is being announced.

The other shocking news is the re-announcement of The Last Guardian.

Besides the 20th anniversary of PS. These two games are the major factors in why this event is happening at all. It will be unexpected and historic and will send shock waves through the gaming industry. Very few people even know that this is happening...the calm before the storm...

I always thought Crash was crap. Just run forward in a straight line and use timing to bop stuff. It only had interest because the linear corridor lent itself to graphics that looked better than most other PS1 stuff. RIP Crash, out with the old, in with the new.

Crash Bandicoot's 1-CTR are the best hands down and had only gone downhill after. Crash Bash wasn't terrible but didn't execute that well.

IMO Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back is the best in the series and I'd easily prefer if a newer game followed that simpler formula.

Whoever's taking this assumed project on -- tread carefully, but make it a reality for us. :)

Whoa bro, DON'T EVER forget Sir Daniel Fortesque, of Medievil fame...to me, that is the PINNACLE of platformers for the PS1 generation (& that includes the awesome Mario64), this is how much I love Medievil....

I agree though, PS1 was the bomb, also add Jersey Devil, Pandemonium, Heart Of Darkness, Oddworld, Blasto, Croc, & that is just a chunk of the platformers.. The other vast array of genres was UNBELIEVABLE with PS1...

I mean, for me, PS1 is still THE PINNACLE of 3D gaming, it was the start, & because I'm a older gamer, I was around for the 8bit & 16bit EVERYTHING 2D, sprite based consoles, & the move was just so drastic & awesome, as well as the fact, Sony were also new to the game, & came in swinging knockout blows from EVERY direction, was just a SUPER COOL phase & "handing of the torch" in gaming...as an example, I was formely a DEVOTED Nintendo gamer, BUT, when I heard Sony were releasing a console, I just KNEW & had this really strong instinct that Sony would not screw up...& damn, was that a drastic understatement.... Sony came in, & within a couple of years, they had EVERY genre covered, & not only that, they had THE BEST IN EVERY GENRE.

Not just Crash, I wanna see PS4 & Vita COP A FULL RESURGENCE ASSAULT of PS1 era comebacks...Lets get it happening Sony & the other powers that be.
