I couldn't get my friends list to load up because of the DDOS, I still got into Advanced Warfare lobbies but the first match I got into, I couldn't spawn and the next match I was finally able to spawn in. I did notice when I first turned on my Xbox, it had a pop up saying the connection had been interrupted and I was disconnected from Live, but reconnected quickly but I couldn't invite friends to the game. Overly annoying, I hate these people.

Sorry to some replying to you, but no customer service rep should have to put up with abuse from customers. The people that say that have never worked in CS a day in their lives.

Having been in jobs that require CS responsibilities, I can tell you that some customers are dbags. They blame the support person, often before that person even knows what the problem is.

The customer is always right is just something to placate the customer. The real way it works is to help the customer to make sure they are satisfied with the service/product they received. Saying the customer is always right means companies would go out of business...see last weeks screwing over of wal-mart and their price-matching policies. Was the customer right then?

Anyhow, most CS jobs do not tolerate abuse from their customers. CS reps should be able to say to the customer, in a polite way, that they won't put up with it, and if the customer can't do that, then they probably will get hung up on. Some people are just unreasonable though.

However, never should a CS rep every be rude to their customers, no matter how rude those customers may be. They should always be polite, maybe firm, but never rude.

Hacking and DDoS are types of ATTACKS against networks. Hacking is the wrong term for DDoS though. Hacking is a general term though, which includes many different types of attacks.

Basically hacking is any attack with attempts(or succeeds) at infiltrating a network by bypassing security. This can be achieved any number of ways...hence different attacks like SQL injection, spoofing, malware stuff, etc.

DDoS is a type of attack, but does not bypass security procedures since you can't 100% prevent them without blocking all traffic, so it's an exploit of internet protocols. However, it doesn't actually bypass or infiltrate anything.

Anyone that's taken a basic security class will be made very aware of the differences between them...or anyone who cared to go do a google search will see the difference. In certification classes hacking isn't even a term that's used that I've seen. It's all classified under "Attacks".

They will only work offline on the console you bought them on unless you transfer the license to the new one. Hope that helps

Because your licenses aren't transferred to that system. Have to transfer and go through and redownload all games bought on another console. It just redownloads the license if you have it on our hdd already. So no matter what size the game it takes usually around 15-30 seconds to download.

I do not know if it was a hack but something did happen tonight on live. When I has in a full GTAV lobby people were dropping out left and right then I lost connection and my friend was having trouble loading downloaded games and when he contacted Xbox live services they just told him it was a hardware issue. I don't know if it was a hack or not but I know for sure something happened tonight on Live but something did happen for sure.

The friends list was the only issue I've had.. Games still work fine, parties messed up for 2 minutes then were fine. No idea why these kids do these things, makes you wonder what they do with their lives.

I'm against these attacks, whatever the services they're aimed at, but I'm kind of glad they did it to Live. The last time this happened to the PSN, quite a few of you said this was almost impossible on Live because it's so damn secure, the service is way better than PSN because MS invests in those servers and Sony doesn't and blablabla...

Wow...it's just bad days for Xbox. These guys are a frickin joke, what ever service they target: The issue is that they are pathetic jack asses. The bottom line is that people work hard to earn money and fuel their hobbies. With what little free time they have, they should be able to enjoy their leisure time uninterrupted.

It really seems isolated. I played GTA Online thru almost the whole night (CET) without any issues. Aswell talked to some guys on my friends list nobody has issues (All located in Austria/Germany/Switzerland Area. Maybe "only" the US Servers were hit? Just a guess. Anyway it always sucks when a service u pay for is down, but it even more sucks if it´s because of these stupid DDOS Attacks.

No service is hack proof or attack proof. Whether it's PSN or XBL. No need to defend one or compare them in this scenario... direct all your efforts to the attackers and what is being done to combat it.

I suppose some portion of XBL was down, due to the reports from some people saying they couldn't get online.

However, I played FC4 on my X1 last night between the hours of 8pm - 11:30pm and I did not have any XBL issues what-so-ever.

I also belong to a large Xbox Facebook group, and there were no reports on our page regarding XBL problems.

I also think that the Lizard douches are simply taking responsibility for something they didn't do.

Yes my friends list wouldnt load but it didnt effect my online at all and on top of that before i went to bed my friends list worked fine.
