These articles about sales are truly just sad. They are always filled with fanboys arguing about sales data (which is almost always incomplete or wrong) to prove why their choice is better.

What is good about this news? BOTH consoles are selling superbly and have bright futures. That is what we gamers should care about. Not flaunting sales as some great selling point of your opinion.

Real gamers either
A. Buy both consoles and experience the best both have to offer.
B. Pick the one that suits them best, and reside harmoniously with other gamers who made that same choice.
It honestly shouldn't be an arguing point because someone chose differently than you, especially if sales are your reason...

That is only true (hardware being outside top 5) because software effectually outstrips the hardware demand as each generation gets older. In other words, we are in the midst of a hardware upgrade cycle. People want new consoles for cheap more than games for cheap. (though obviously they aren't mutually exclusive)

Too bad the console still sucks and it's biggest hit(halo:mcc) is so buggy that it shouldn't have even released it.. Microsoft push this game out prematurely to attempt to save the console and pushed it out too early, at the expense of the consumer I might add, all to try and get a leg up for Black Friday.. When people see how much microsoft sucks with their one game month games with gold and their Xbox live that is slowly dying, you will see a bunch of them on Craigslist.. I plays solo campaign last night and when I played halo CE on the "annversary" graphics, the framerate dropped by like 10-20 fps(just guess on the actual drop) but I switched to the old graphics and it ran fine.. But still, if you buy a game, you want it to work, and your one of the few lucky ones to have it work "most" of the time.. My friend who bought an Xbox one like 3 months ago for halo is basically giving up on the game because the patches are making the game worse.. It's brutal, idk how many times I have had the game literally freeze on me and crash the game, sending me back to the home screen.. I love halo but I really dislike ms and the system at this point....

I'm surprised its selling as well as it is. I was at target today and saw people mainly buying xbox ones and skylander sets(dozens of them) and loading them in carts. Though I had to wonder if most of those people really thought it out as something they would like long term or are just buying on impulse because of a temporary price cut..Either way its a good sign gaming will be around a while. Im thinking if I want to go for Xbone: MCC bundle at walmart or wait for a redesign with lower price on next years holiday sale. Anyway, maybe MS should have offered this price from the beginning, given the weaker hardware? From $499, to $399, to $350, now %329 with games. This is what they had to do to "win" in sales. They may win the holiday battle but the PS4 will take it again from Feb. Any bet MS's price doesn't go back up? When you have a fire sale numbers always go up.

Sony doesn't need to lower the price, and when they do what so you think will happen? They still have worldwide dominance with sales in Europe being 3:1 in favour of the PS4.

i think its a combination of gamers wanting to have both consoles this time. most american gaming consumers have a ps4 and they might want to see whats on the other side. how can you pass up on a such a good deal. i got off work today at midnight i know walmart did its black friday at 6pm. so i decided to stop by and see what i could find i was surprised that plenty of ps4 games were around. but the only xbox one games i could find was watchdogs,need for speed or bf4 yea nobody wants those games. i did pick up an extra controller for 29 dollars. so far best deal I've found this year 2.79 for premium gas

MS can do this as a result of OS monopoly, thus being able to just recant on their policies last year, and slash the price and throw in all the goodies, being able to haemorrhage money which won't affect the bottom line much. Gets the install base up though.

With all this money I think they should have just invested in making a better console, and offer it at a better price from the beginning. With these deals other consoles will not be able to compete at all. Good for gamers though.

currently the PS4 is the number one on bestseller list. Its possible that the people who are buying the xbone are the mom and dads who happen to be more spontaneous purchasers, wanting to save money? But as a matter of my own opinion, the PS4 bundle is so much better. (despite being more expensive) because you get two games that are not to be missed, AND they are different from each other. Whereas the xbone bundle is with two assassin's creed games, now i don't know about other people, but as much as I love assassin's creed, i would never play TWO of them back to back. Its just impossible. by the time you're done with one, you don't want to see another assassin's creed for a whole year. Imagine playing one and then the next? It's not possible. Most likely one of the games will go to waist because you'll end up buying another game before you start the second assassin's creed.

I mean, think about it, would you EVER buy two identical games with you new console? or would you buy two different ones in case you're just no into one of them? I can't think of any scenario where i would get two games (any games) that are in the same franchise in the same day.

well, the same can be said about Assassin's Creed black flag (great game by the way, although not in the same league as TLOU, or GTA V as I'm sure you would agree). But that's your individual circumstances.(being that you have already played both GTA V and TLOU) However, Everything else being equal, I'm sure you would agree that owning two games that are practically identical, especially when the said game is a long one involving exploration, can get repetitive.

Take me for example, I've already played The Last of Us. Although it is probably my best game of last generation, I wasn't one of the people who was willing to go and buy it a second time (although i was tempted). But, the remaster also includes the "Left Behind" content which I never had a chance to play. Additionally, I personally never played GTA V. So you can see why this would be the obvious choice for me, even though I've already played one of the two. Had I not played any of the 4 bundled games, I would take the PS4 bundle over the XB one obviously.

Lol. The author of the article should've waited until Black Friday actually hit before writing this bs. The X1 ACU $329 bundle was actually available before Black Friday. Once the PS4 bundles became available they began to sell just as well if not better than the X1 bundles (see Amazon and Gamestop best selling lists.) That said, the X1 may still sell more units on Black Friday and in Nov. overall in the USA but I don't think it will do so in a dominating manner.

PS4 was riding E3 2013 momentum crushing the Xbox, but Microsoft started dropping billions for exclusives and now they are dropping the prices down to an irresistible price even for fanboys.
Sony had a nice sprint at the start of the race, but with all their financial problems and using PS4 as a crutch, I can only see Microsoft keep dropping tons of $ until they win. They can afford to do it and are ruthless. It is in fact a marathon, not a sprint.

Go to Amazon and look at the reviews of the new bundle. Now go to the Xbox One bundle. Yep, lots of reviews by Playstation fans giving it one star even though they don't own the thing. Are people really so ridiculously devoted to one console or does Sony pay people to do this? I don't get it.
