if being gay is OK, why not seeing Movies or Series where the lovers are males or a love story where the lovers are gay.

Being a gay is an illness that should be cured not spreading, if we accept this then in the future we'll also see people want their right to marry their dogs and have sex with them and you'll be insightful for not supporting them.

if encouraging these ill people is being OPEN minded then i rather be a close minded one that seeing this abomination in my video game or anywhere.

The option to romance same-sex characters (who aren't all bisexual for your convencience but have some semblance of an identity) seems like a logical part of roleplaying.

If you can choose to be an elf or a qunari, you should be able to choose whether you're gay or straight.

How mature it all is, well, that depends on how it's done. Sex as a reward for a lot of gifts and three or four compliments fits in the childish category, obviously.

Badass lesbian Shephard was great in Mass Effect... And that shower scene with 'Specialist' Traynor was HOT.

I played the EA Access trial of Dragon Age, and while 6 hours wasn't enough time to cultivate a loving relationship, It seems that romance is an option with many characters (not just party members)...

I got nothing against homosexuality in games, but it shouldn't be forced. Like I remember in ME3 when male Shepard is just magically gay when in ME1-2 he's obviously not. It also made me feel uncomfortable when Cortez came on to me when I was just trying to help him with his griefing and doing so, earning paragon points. If it has a valid purpose and serves the story I'm fine with it.
Female Shepard was Bisexual from the beginning not male Shepard, to just shoehorn it in to be politically correct is lame.

It's been a while, but I don't think my Shepard was ever forced to be gay. The fact that he could be , well, maybe he just came out of the closet.

The example of Cortez has a valid purpose in the story (imo), someone misunderstanding your intentions fits roleplaying very well.

In any sence, I never really felt it was shoehorned in.

I wasn't actually that mortified, Kaiden was also apparently BI. But that really wasn't that far fetched considering his feminine behaviorism.

I'm not saying all homosexuals are like that though, I have a few relatives, co-workers and friends whom are gay and are more manly than me.
And now you have Dragon Age: Inquisition that really doesn't like you if your a straight male gamer when it comes to the romance options. And if you object, your a bigoted scum.
