well the disc version can be resold and make that difference back easily when you are done with the game, COD games hold their resell value for a long time, try doing that with digital.

Nearly every game is more expensive digitally in Australia and they stay at that price for a lot longer.

JBHiFi has pretty decent prices on physical copies and they drop fairly quickly too.

but digital has gone from claiming it would cost less and we wuld save,to charging more as its suposedly more convienient.

Buy online. I was buying digital for awhile at 70 euros a game because my work schedule is always different and picking up games can be hard as Sunday could be my day off and just buying and downloading was so easy.

Thats until I bought 4 games this gen at 70 euros digital that were crap so thats 280 euros I'll never get back. I then noticed that games are 75 euros in shops here in Ireland and I said F that.

Went online and so far I bought Shadow of Morder for 58 euros including delivery, The Evil Within for 60.53 including delivery and I just bought COD AW on Amazon for a total of 58 euro including delivery. Walking past gamestop on Saturday they had a sign outside with how much they pay for trade ins and Gamestop are giving 40 EUROS for SOM and TEW.

in canada al digital games are 8-10 dollars dollars cheaper cos psn charges no tax :) im all digital i have yet to even insert a disc into my ps4

You're gonna have to pry physical media from my cold, dead hands. To me, physical easily provides the most sense of "ownership," freedom to sell, trade, loan to a friend, etc., and nostalgia. Putting a new PS4 game on the shelf next to the other PS3, PS2, and PS1 games is just something digital will never be able to replicate.

I'm a collector and want the security of knowing I can play any of my games 10+ years out into the future, if I so desire. Once again, something that's easily achievable with physical, not with digital.

Been fine playing and no problems with Online play for me. I have had no disconnects. The only issue I have is sound cutting out in single player. Probably due to being in the preview program. They are quick to get it sorted out.

I had 46% or more downloaded on friday and just disappeared the next day, and reset. I kept my x box 1 on all night for it download on Sunday its ok now fully downloaded. Never happened before seems to be issue with this game.

I have never had problems on X1...... so far with preloading but it sucks for those that did, I have only preloaded 1 games so far Sunset Overdrive and Dragon Age Inquisition! That said for Annualized Games like COD, I would think most people would get them physically and trade in when the new ones comes out?

I digitally pre-ordered and downloaded Forza Horizon 2, Sunset Overdrive, Just Dance 2015, Alein Isolation, Destiny, Disney Fantasia, Sleeping Dogs, and The Evil Within all without a single issue.

Also have Assassin's Creed, CoD AW, Halo MCC, Dragon's Age, and Lego Batman 3 digitally pre-ordered and downloaded...

If you have physical disc version:

1. Totally un-install any updates or game progress.
2. Disconnect from internet.
3. Disconnect from power source.
4. Re-connect power source.
5. Install game as normal.
6. Then re-connect to internet.
7. Then install update.

Worked for me. Pain in the rear but it worked and is playable.
Don't know what to say for digital version.

Ok so here is the solution!

I am in the XBox Preview Program...had a hell of a time getting my Day Zero Physical COD installed...first got Free Space notifications (had plenty of free space) then got Installing/Qued Installing/Qued back and forth then got Installing 1% 2% slow as hell and would restart randomly and frustrating as hell so what to do?

1. Uninstall the game (Manage the game and just Uninstall it)

2. Hard reset the XBox One

3. Turn on the XBox One and when prompted "This game requires an update to play online 249MB" DO NOT INSTALL THE UPDATE Instead select Install Later

4. Install the game from Disk

5. Now Install the Update to play online

There you go!

Wow that really sucks lol. I still prefer physical. Going to the store is no biggy (quit being lazy) and I actually kind of enjoy it. Midnight launch parties. Physical bonuses like maps and figures and all that. Maybe I'm just too old school, but I also enjoy seeing my racks of console and PC games. And for consoles specifically, I like that the game still belongs to me and I can do whatever I please with the disc. Sure they can stop me from going online, but not from playing SP. Unlike you (specially on PC) they can ban your whole account and POOF, all that money gone. If they stop making physical copies without changing their ownership EULAS, that's the day I stop playing video games. Because without them changing it, you're at the mercy of the companies.

Oh and before any PC only gamer tries to tell me you don't own your games.. wrong. You don't own the IP. You own the disc and any offline content is still yours for your personal use. Unlike steam, where it's an extended rental of the license. Which is a load of bull, specially for physical copies tied to steam. The SP should always be yours no matter what.

Personally, I buy digital copies so that I can have the games on both console, downloaded on 360 1st and then transferred to xb1. Nothing like 2 games for the price of one.
