Sony is deliberately taking its time rolling out new system updates for PS4 due to feedback it received during the PS3-era, the platform holder has explained.
Vanillaware's tactical role-playing game Unicorn Overlord is a beautiful mix of old mechanics and new-age graphics, with over 65 unique recruitable characters and a rich storyline.
If you’re hyped for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, then you can play the first entry of the RPG series on PS4 and PS5 now for a very low price.
Just Bought it Thank you after checking reviews alot people enjoyed it Worth Picking up for that Price.
Games Asylum: "Even though the Vampire Survivors influenced ‘auto shooter’ genre isn’t long in the tooth, I’m still surprised that it has taken this long for a Roman gladiator-themed rendition to come along – especially with a sequel to Ridley Scott’s 2000 box office hit Gladiator imminent. It’s thematically perfect, with its circular arena in which one man stands alone against hordes of enemies, grabbing loot as they survive one wave to the next."
Translation "You guys were always complaining about frequent updates on the PS3 so don't complain now......................... Bitch"
I don't know why they feel the need to update in one big spot. I can understand people not wanting to update every week, but since the PS4 updates itself in the background, let users choose the time(via the system menu) they dont use the system and it will just be there when they wake up, come home from work, etc... work on one feature, then roll it out. Then work on the next feature and roll it out. Don't wait for one big update, just roll it out when it's ready. Like DLNA and Suspend/ Resume, Folders, Videos, External Storage, etc...
People just want what the PS3 already had, plus a few new features that were promised for launch. One at a time, til the most requested features are there, then listen for feedback and update to meet the needs of your customers. Thats all they can really do. People will bitch, no matter what you do... You just have to meet their needs, to the best of your ability, and let the cards fall where they may. If you constantly poll for customer feedback, you will find yourself spending more time trying to please them then actually fixing the issues. Because no matter how hard you try, you can never please everybody.
nawh. . frequent updates on PS3 were stability updates.. This is why people complained back then.
Major updates weren't frequent, we did a lot of waiting for those just like PS4 owners are doing now.
Bit of a difference in updates though. The ps3 was constantly updating for what I like to refer to as "invisible updates". Your system would spend what seemed like forever updating only for you to not notice anything different or see anything new - At least not very often. With the PS4, most of the updates have also been those "invisible" stability updates. There has only been one major update since the launch of the PS4 that actually added new functionality. The second one will be tomorrow. Meanwhile, the Xbox One has practically transformed into a different console since its launch. I'm not saying that makes it better or whatever you guys will spin my words into, but it is definitely something MS is excelling at now that they've gotten a swift kick in the pants by sales performance. The thing is too, even though the Xbox gets a fairly reasonable functionality update every month, they aren't invasive like PS3 updates are thanks to the consoles ability to update during non-use, standby times. Yes the PS4 does this too, which is even more of a reason it has no excuse to have more meaningful updates more often. In conclusion, its not a good enough reason.
PS3 updates largely were useless most of the time, that's why people complained about the frequent updating.
