Voice Commander, a Microsoft Garage project, is a fast paced, space themed, RTS and top-down shooter combo. Pick up a controller and work with Vox using voice commands to try to stop relentless attacks. Voice Commander can be played with up to eight controllers, and anyone in the room can issue voice commands.

Video is pretty interesting. The voice commands seem to work very well. I'd like to give this game a try, especially since it's free. This is what I want M$ to do with a strategy game or a RPG. This is a nice little addition.

It's an ok game... but the voice commands work great. I could see this working well with Command and Conquer.

Not really my thing, but I'll give it a go. I know Phil Spencer has talked about wanting to bring RTS games to console, but the controller not really being conducive to the genre. Voice commands seem to be the perfect solution to that issue. Especially with the increased accuracy of Kinect 2.0.

Huh this looks neat. Will check it out. I hope they start experimenting with RTS games with kinect 2.0 . I would love a halo wars 2 or similar. Even a new End War. With the right work even games like CoH could work on XB1. Though stuff like StarCraft is definitely out of the question.

This looks like a fun distraction, and a great proof on concept. Makes me wish we had a next gen End War.
