Are people only allowed to comment if they like something? Some of us have been playing COD(and other shooters) for years and hate seeing what they've done with the franchise. Most of the changes in COD have been terrible and unbalanced. Deathstreaks, Support Streaks, 30 perks....ugh.

As much as I am surprised to say this, it actually looks pretty good. Kevin Spacey should do a good job making the story worth it I think (hope lol).

I shall rent this to be sure I don't end up disappointed, but who knows.

So..in house of cards he's a politician, who is more concerned with power gained through government manipulation, and in CoD he preaches that government can't do anything, only war can get you power... I honestly don't see it.
Yes he's ruthless, but frank is a different beast entirely.

what I meant by that is that you don't know what it will play like, Black ops type of gameplay or CODMW4 -- you won't know until you play it..

What type of shooting style the developers did. if it had a demo it would make it easy for people to tell if they like this style or they don't. Ghost feels totally different from Black Ops so that's what I meant by you don't know what you will get..

-But I'm sure that flew over most peoples head, because like you said your probably new here, or you would know I've been here... I'm far from new.

According to Eurogamer Xbox One MP is 900p. Xbox One res went up from Ghosts, so it would make sense that PS4 would be 1080p.

resolution ain't important Frame rate is what is important. Ghost was 1080p on ps4 but that frame rate wasn't locked at 60 made the game even more trash than what it already is.

How is the basics more exciting than something futuristic?

I mean, yeah... Ancient Egypt is fascinating, but the cities of the future are far more exciting to imagine.. just like technology of today is far more practical, accessible, and awe inspiring... the future IS where it's at buddy, get with the times or get left in the dust like all the lost civilizations of the past.
This COD looks different, and it looks like the first big step since COD 4.

If you want to play old games, nobody is stopping you, But please dont hate on new things just because you can't fathom the fact that most people are excited that COD is finally going to be original and exciting for the first time in years.

Easy, because it's eliminating all the crappy items they add that ruin gameplay. Target Finders, Heart beat Sensors, Thermal Sights, Black Hats, Shock Charges, Tac Inserts, etc, etc all RUIN the game. Give me a simple COD with good guns, good maps, balanced Perks and fun Killstreaks. The rest of the stuff is just to attract the kiddies. COD is a military shooter not this sci-fi'ish stuff. If I want that, there are better games out there like (Titanfall,Destiny)to play. I like COD and I like HALO but I don't want COD to play like HALO.

Yes. Totally agree. The future warfare thing has been done to death. And it sucks.

COD used to be gritty and realistic. Bring back the WW2 setting. Old school iron sights and realistic ballistics. There are so many amazing and heart rending untold storys they could use for inspiration.

Stop with the glorification of war. Give us a glimpse into the true nature of war. It's been a part of human nature since time immortal. It's about time shooters at least attempt to show the horror and immeasurable loss that it causes.

Instead of the gun-ho bravado and candy coated dude-bro twitch shooters the COD franchise has delivered for the past years. It's pretty sad that this franchise sells so well when truly great games get left in the bargain bin.

The campaign sucked and the MP had all the bad stuff I was hearing about from the lag to the rubber banding. I also really disliked the progression system being based on those packs

What sucked the most was that I couldn't enjoy it after spending over 100 hours in BF3 MP on the PS3.

WW 1 would be rather boring as an action game, it was a trench war. The weapons where bad and a lot of long distance artillery was used as well.

The only game I want to go back to WW 2 is Medal of Honor and not the series after EA got it but how it was originally with a lot of sneaking, infiltrating facilities in disguise and so on.

Looks good on XB1 and have it preordered at Gamestop. PS4 will most likely hit 1080p unless its having framerate issues like Ghosts did. They would then be better off going for 900 and a locked 60 but that would upset way to many PS4 owners and make this game a fail because its 'only' 900p - thats sad and pathetic but thats what this gen has become for so many.

Agreed. High resolution and framerates are just bonuses to making things look and feel awesome in video games. Not prerequisites. Skyrim Modded is beautiful, but then again the game is very beautiful without mods as well.

This game looks good, and it would STILL look good at a resolution as low as 720p... it's not always about pixels... art style, lighting, draw distance, and shadows can make low res games look better than a game that is 4k with no additional effects...

Sony fans have the right to want the best for their system, as do owners of EACH AND EVERY console... but the demand for strictly 1080p and 60fps and psychotic fixation of rez > functionality is retarded and pathetic.

If you can have a good game with high rez and framerate and no sacrifices are made to reach it, then OF COURSE that is the best possible scenario, but if not, post processing, lighting/shadow/AA and other additional effects and framerate play a MUCH bigger role in making a game beautiful and visually enjoyable.

Of course- gameplay, setting, and story are an even BIGGER factor than ANY graphical features will EVER be.

Let's all stop repeating the same old crappy discussions about graphics, (unless it's about the appreciation of gfx) and let's get back to enjoying gaming without all the drama!
