Is A Gears Of War Collection Coming To Xbox One?

Could a Gears Of War HD Collection be coming to Xbox One? NowGamer thinks it's on the cards.

Doubt it will come out on PC but actually, that's a good idea because only the first game came out on PC and this would ensure a few sales. I don't think the Xbox One exclusivity would matter as much as it wouldn't devalue the console as much as say, TMCC appearing on PC.

I'm predicting a remaster for 2016 that Black Tusk makes to get them up to speed with Gears, UE4 & XB1--all for the 10 year anniversary. A beta for the new Gears bundled in that will launch in 2017.

Yeah, I doubt the PC thing would happen, but it's possible since porting should be a relatively simple process. Either way, this along with a new Gears would get me to buy an XBOX One.

Please God let this collection come. I no longer have a 360. Miss these games. They need to include the extra chapter from the pc version of the first one.

Also, if they come our with a n uncharted collection, I'd gladly buy those games again

For me personally, don't care for all the remakes being launched nowadays from games I already played last gen... but from a business stand point, all 3 (or 4) GOW games in 1 pack would be a smart move. A lot of people would be interested in that pack.

Completely agree I'd much prefer new games instead of higher resolution/frame rate versions of games that came out like a year and a half ago but that seems to be a quick way to make money really old games being remade is a another story but sleeping dogs/tomb raider/last of us/the walking dead do not appeal to me at all GTA isn't my thing but at least that makes sense given that they said GTA online has a 10 year plan

I miss Gears 2 Horde’s solid progression from waves 1-50. Building up defenses in Gears 3 was awesome but I didn’t like when you lose a wave everything is torn down and you have to go back multiple waves to build it all up again. You only got 1 shot at a hard wave with your best stuff. Any thoughts/solutions to this? Sorry for the slightly off topic =)

Short answer: YES!!! Of course it is.

And a bit more detailed: Sure, MS has just bought the rights not too long ago and can now do what they want with the game. And as we all know from last and current gen, HD remakes and 'definitve'/'remas tered' versions are really cheap to make compared to a new game and (still) sell pretty well. They are basically pure profit and I guess the percentage of money you get out of investing in a remaster has at least 5 digits.

Also a new gen is something where people get a console for the first time or an Xbox in this case for the first time and probably haven't played a Gears game yet or were to young or didn't like such games, so they will get a lot out of it, like with the Halo Collection. And even avid fans will like it. It's a win win win situation. It's also a good way to fill up an empty month, do some promos and get people into Gears before the new game, just like they do with Halo.

It's a sure thing and will come sooner or later, probably sooner.

I liked the multiplayer (I've always been bad at gears multiplayer thou) but the story just felt weird I don't really know what I didn't like it's not like I hate it it's just I'm indifferent towards it

I actually didn't mind it, it wasn't as good as the others, but it was still Gears...The MP & the way they took out Horde mode like it was in Gears 3 was a mistake, but any sort of Gears fix is fine by me..

It was pretty great actually, surprisingly fun as hell. But it didn't didn't anything to further the franchise, it just re-used the same enemies and story missions just felt like horde levels strung together. Fight waves in one location, move to the next and do the same. Not many set pieces of transitions of sense of pacing.

That's not to say it was made badly, some of the wave missions were awesome, specially where you go to get up traps and prepare beforehand. But you could tell the budget was short, it didn't take long to beat.

Don't forget it wouldn't necessarily be Black Tusk that develops a potential #TheMarcusFenixCollection. It would be a different studio allowing BT to concentrate all or most resources to Gears 4.

Don't take this wrong but the 360 WAS HD it might not look as good as the one or ps4 so y remaster a game that is not that old yet just like all these games I would much rather see a new ip or just a new game in that series I'm I right or just thinking on it too hard. TLOU was barely a year old. Although I understand them remastering it. A lot of their data showed that a large number of PS4 owners didn't previously own a PS3. This gave these new PlayStation owners the chance to play one of the most highly acclaimed games of all time.

Remaking the Gears of War franchise is good move. There is a lot of people who moved from PS3 to 360 who never played it (vice versa). Also it will keep the hardcore Gears fans who still play it on the 360 to make the jump so they will have there favorite series until the new one comes out.

I've never played the Gears series aside from some brief time spent with the original in co-op. I would love the opportunity to play them all remastered like the MCC. This is one of the main reasons I opted to get an Xbox One in addition to our PS4 as opposed to a second PS4 for strictly personal use.
