more than 200hs with this game... and im done for now.
Do not have any motivation to continue playing it.
I will wait the expansion.

joab7773479d ago

I'm still going. I still have that desire to play. Of Dragon Age came out tomorrow, I may wait for DLC, but as long as I need that raid gear.

Honestly though, I took 2 ppl in to a raid last night that hadn't done ot, and it's so awesome.

Thats what Destiny needs. More raids, extra activities, social features, and customization (imprinting looks on stats).

JAT3479d ago

Hit the same after about 50 hours.

Can't wait to see what they add in the expansion ...

it BETTER be a LOT

venom063479d ago

really kinda boriing and repetitive.. i see why it received the mediocre scores it did..

"Let me talk to my team"

You are allowed to. You just need to add them to your fire team. Then you can converse all you like.

It is the solution you are looking for when you state that you want to ignore the people who are "singing or screaming obscenities." Better yet, find a clan that has like minded people.

That is what I did and my banter isn't left up to chance.

They do offer guarenteed Ascendant "materials" for doing the daily heroic mission on level 28. For five days in a row I kept getting 2 Ascendant energy and yesterday I FINALLY got the 2 ascendant shards. I also got another shard in a public event. But I do agree that they should be offered more. Like the highest level strike, at least 1 Ascendant material would be nice.

I am currently working to level up to Vanguard 3 and should obtain that soon to get a nice legendary assault rifle to work on. I want to level up an exotic gear all the way and the legendary rifle all the way then hit the vault of glass for raid gear. Although, I really hope matchmaking for raids comes sooner then later.

spektical3479d ago

what do you do when you reach level 30?

PvP is nothing to write home about. I hope there's level cap increases.

ScottyHoss3478d ago

Make another character, get to 30, repeat. By that time it should be December.

ceballos77mx3479d ago

Im still enjoying it since day one, got a 24 warlock and 27 Hunter I've yet to start a titan and have stored all the random titan gear ive gotten.
But this last fix really messed up the game to me never had internet connection problems but yesterday was almost unplayable got kicked out a lot and it wasn't my connection because netflix was working fine, didnt like my assault rifle being nerfed, but thats ok.

ScottyHoss3478d ago

I'm levelling up my hunter right now, started with titan (currently 27), went to warlock (25) and saved all the non titan gear for characters I would make after which is what I'm guessing you did with your second too? It makes it so much easier! :D no more level 24 grind.

Destiny Made Over $160 Million In Microtransaction Revenue In Less Than 2 Years

Destiny has made over $160 million in MTX revenue, and these numbers only account the data from late 2017 to early 2019.

Sgt_Slaughter330d ago

That's extremely low for microtransactions, especially for a game that's essentially designed around it

LucasRuinedChildhood330d ago (Edited 330d ago )

This was back when the game wasn't free to play.

The figures are from November 2017 to February 2019 (1 year and 4 months).

Based on that projection, the MTX revenue for Destiny 2 likely would have been closer to ~$240m for 2 years.

Not sure if premium expansions are included in that figure either although ... I'd hope that they are though and that most of the revenue was for actual content like Forsaken.

People spend way too much money on cosmetics.

Rude-ro330d ago (Edited 330d ago )

Seasons($10 and just got bumped to $12) and dungeon keys($10 each, two a year) are through the eververse(micro transaction) store.
So for those two years, in order to play a season, you would pay through micro transactions.

Sonic1881330d ago (Edited 330d ago )

Bungie Marathon will be worse since it's designed around it as well

Kurt Russell330d ago

It makes me sad to agree... but at the same time I am looking forward to giving it a go. Destiny 2 is so far in, I find it difficult to figure out what I am meant to do first.

buffig330d ago

I think FIFA alone makes over $1bn a year from mtx

anast330d ago

FIFA promotes a worldwide sport. It should make more money than destiny.

CantThinkOfAUsername330d ago (Edited 330d ago )

Let's compare something similar. Apex Legends and its ridiculous $18/$40 skins make EA a billion each year.

z2g330d ago

For as much as ppl complain how much they hate microtransactions, they sure don’t act like it. No wonder they aren’t going anywhere.

spicelicka330d ago

By "people" you're referring to millions and millions of people. Obviously the ones complaining aren't necessarily the same as the ones spending all that money.

There's millions that purchase MTX and there's nothing we can do about it

I've been thinking about playing through D1 again before it goes away...

CobraKai481d ago

That’s the sad reality of a game like this. I bought it, invested lots of money, and it can go away at anytime. I still think this was more fun than 2.

jeromeface480d ago

prob because 2 is a grindfest slog

spoonard478d ago

That's the bummer of 'games as a service'.
