Smash and Sonic Boom are the same game but different version. Nothing is same other than characters for both are same.

Smash Bros is not the same game on both plattforms. They are made to work together, but they are not the same. Forza, other than graphics is going to be the exact same game, the same experience, this is the reason. You can disagree, but it is a fact, that they are not the same, Nintendo said so many times.

It's not like you can play the ps3 and ps4 linked together and get new modes. THERE basicly is no reason to own both lbp3 games. Yet the 3ds and wiiu will have different play modes and game styles. Plus I don't know hear many hype about lbp3. Minecraft and the Disney stuff sort of killed that not to mention mario maker. Yet im sure the ps4 will continue to sell off an optimistic future. The vita needs some love though sony.

@DualWielding Sonic boom and smash bros 3ds are there completely own games. Sonic boom is a prequel to the wii u game and smash bros 3ds is a completely different experience. They were built from the ground up as there own separate titles. Games like Lbp3 is the same game ported to both consoles.

Even if Super Smash Bros. should be excluded, you would still have three games exclusive for Wii U, only playable on Wii U. On the Xbox One side, one of them is a collection of previously released content.

Yeah wiiu is lookin good but I wonder why they left off guilty gear, planetside2, and lbp3 off the ps4 list. Probably because its on ps3 as well but the lbp 3 experience on ps4 will be much better on ps4 due to infinte levels and such but oh well.

Both games have differences in stages, amounts of music each stage can hold, the different modes available, and a bunch of other things that have already been discussed.
The two different versions are being mentioned because they're different enough to warrant being considered different exclusive games, despite being in the same series.

Yeah smash is on handheld same as Sonic but it's still a different game with different modes depending on wich version you have whereas lbp3 will be the ecactly same game with better graphics

Both versions of Smash have different levels 3ds has handheld stages while Wii U version only has console stages.. not to mention the art style and controls are totally different. You're welcome.

It's also on the PS3 and they're the same game. Who knows if the game was originally on the PS3 and was ported to the PS4. Smash on Wii U & 3DS are different from each other.

You have obviously done zero research if you think that there's any difference in the roster between Smash 3DS and Smash U.
Each one has its own set of exclusive stages and modes, and the Wii U version holds more music while the 3DS version allows you to shut your 3DS and still listen to the music from the game while it's in sleep mode via a music player app in-game, while you switch music tracks with the L and R buttons.

There's no cut content, and you've dun goofed.

What counts is, that the games are exclusivd to their plattform, so there is a reason to get that plattform. There are 80milions ps3s and xbox360s each out there, if a game of the PS4 comes to PS3, it is not really exclusive and one would not get a console for this, if he can play it on old gen as well. Graphics alone are a stupid argument for getting a console. Of course people will take that out of its context and think I am talking NES graphics^^

I love articles like these. People show their bias when they defend erroneous statements. Fact is exclusive content does not make for an exclusive game. Did you see Xbox fans parading around Tomb Raider Underworld and Dead Rising 2 as exclusives because of exclusive DLC? Or what about Sony fans with Assassin's Creed and Batman? IF we apply the same level of consistency, then Smash and Sonic aren't exclusives. Much the same way FH2 and LBP3 aren't as well. Captain Toad has been officially delayed in Europe till January. I'll be shocked if the same doesn't hold true for North America too. So actually the list of "exclusives" in 2014 is pretty anemic for all platforms.

Sad thing is, having them as cross-platform doesn't diminish the quality and allure of any of these IPs. But fantards will be fantards I suppose.

I think that might be the point tho. Nintendo is self sustainable. Sony would love to sell consoles based of exclusives. If they didn't then they wouldn't waste money on them. The gaming industry hates Nintendo for that.

Also that list......yeah it would be kind of me to say that half of those will be "great". I personally will only be buying cod and evolve which isn't released till 2015. I bought my ps4 as a 3rd party shooter blood and gore box too, because its a one trick pony, and that one trick isn't even theirs. It's a 3rd party trick.

So while u play those games on the list. I will pick and choose from it wisely, because I know I have to save my money for the highest rated games of the generation so far. Only on wii u.

yep! A man gets excited for a polished version of his favorite games (just double platinumed TLoU and going to double plat Sleeping Dogs and pick up GTA5). It's not just prettier graphics and higher/stable fps, it's also a better controller on PS4 and better PS4 UI and better PS4 online play. It's just a much better experience having everything on PS4.

There was really no need for this article. I hate when gamers try to use the quantity of games to try to prove why X console is best. I'm going to put more time into Smash and MCC than probably all other games this gen, and I'm willing to bet other gamers will have different games they put a lot of time into as well. The actual number of games doesn't mean squat if you don't enjoy them. There will be exclusives for all 3 that I like (which is why I bought them all) so no need for this pissing contest between gamers.

Wow, these comments reveal just how far up Sony's ass a lot of people here really are. Some people have been so duped by Sony's mega marketing hype machine for the PS4 and the bought out gaming media that they really can't form an unbiased opinion anymore.

The PS4's EXCLUSIVES suck this holiday because Drive Club is the only major one. And we don't even know if that game will deliver given its a new and unproven IP. Smash should be considered a Wii U exclusive because it's a different game on Wii U, plain and simple. It has different game modes, different stages, and an entirely different graphical style. I wouldn't be surprised if a few wii u exclusive characters make it in either, like the ice climbers. I mean the game don't even have the same titles (hence smash for wii u and smash for 3ds). Same goes for Sonic Boom, which to my understanding really is a 100% different game on 3DS and Wii U (not that I think it will be a good game on either mind you, but the wii u version is an exclusive).

Now compare those two titles to say LBP3, which will be the exact same on PS4 as PS3 aside from a graphical face lift, and that's why it doesn't deserve to be called a ps4 exclusive. There's nothing "exclusive" about it to the ps4.

Also the fact that Sony fanboys are trying to bring up extreme niche titles like Guilty Gear Xrd SIGN (lol at that title), or just plain bad ones like Akiba's Trip as big PS4 exclusives just proves how desperate some of the Sony fanboys are right now.

Get a grip, own up to your biases, and admit that PS4 has been the most disappointing this year out of the 3 for exclusives, and Wii U has actually been rapidly improving and delivering consistently good exclusives this year after the awful 2013 it had. Xbox One will end the year with a stronger slate of exclusives than PS4 as well. Now a year from now things may be totally different (a year ago I wouldn't have thought the Wii U would murder X1 and PS4 so much in 2014 exclusives), but that's the cold hard facts of where we are currently.

Hey man don't be dissin' Guilty Gear! :P But I agree it shouldn't count toward the list and not because it's niche. It's actually a great fighting series IMO, one of my favorites. But the reason it doesn't count is actually because it's for PS4, PS3 and arcades. I totally concede that Nintendo walks away with exclusives this year while Sony gets the best multiplats IMO. Since I have both I try my best to see the best of both consoles and their libraries. Try not to think of all of us Sony fans as mindless fanboys lol.
