PS Russia's Ad Takes Dig At Xbox One Launch, Show Two Consoles Which Will Define Industry's Future

The launch of Microsoft's Xbox One is just few weeks away, and to counter it PlayStation Russia have come up with interesting PlayStation 4 poster Ad which carries a message (translated): "Only Two Consoles Define The Future Of Video Game World".

Now, don't even think that this is a good sportsmanship from Sony and they are welcoming Xbox One in Russia

I had one, it was great and then it died on me after 20 months. The first console I have ever owned (owned almost all of them) that has died on me and it was a Nintendo console ( they never die).

Well if you don't think Microsoft deserves all the negative attention they get, or the digs like this that Sony is taking, then you're probably an apologist or a fanboy.

What Microsoft tried to force on the industry, and what they wanted from consumers is enough to justify any negative attention their brand is on the receiving end of, since it has all stemmed from that corporation. Nothing else can be attributed to it.

At least Sony needs to acknowledge that Xbox is there and can not be ignored. You PS4 guys should be happy when Xbox does reasonably well. It helps Sony put in that extra effort.

Sony was fine before Xbox came along. Pretty sure they'd be fine with out them (not sure why people think Sony NEEDS Xbox). Yes competition is good, but the Xbox isn't some Godly brand that gaming needs in order to sustain itself.

Competition is indeed good and needed, however what MS brings to the table is nothing other than gaming suicide.

Thanks to MS, we have these things (just to name a few examples) to thank them for:

- Timed exclusive DLC
- Timed game exclusivity
- Pay to play online
- Parity clause which inhibits multiplat games from being all that they can be on platforms other than Xbox
- Developers/publishers being paid-off/bribed is now a common practice.
- Since the xbox came along, the fanboy/console war scene has exploded almost exponentially

Not to mention the damage that would have been caused if they were allowed to go through with their DRM-fest plans, which they will no doubt continue to pursue.

Xbox can stay, but MS needs to go.

What I find worrying is that Microsoft to keep its customers happy buy up exclusive games Titanfall, Dead Rising 3, Tomb Raider, Quantum Break etc and maybe even Minecraft but all Sony do for their fans is have little digs at Xbox. Expect more.

2 of those games are on pc,and the next iteration of titanfall and dead-rising will be on ps4 where they will look and play better as usual... ppl will be able to play titanfall2 on a console at 1080p with a high framerate unlike that unstable pile of crap version on the xone

Wrong, ms buys exclusives because they don't have the talent to make their own. Sony has a ton of first and 2nd party studios. If you haven't noticed ms has been having a hard time buying out exclusive lately too because other platforms are stronger in user base. Titanfall and dead rising, also on pc, tomb raider, timed exclusive and coming to other platforms and minecraft is already on every platform and if its exclusive in the future what did it take ms to get it that way? They had to buy the whole company for 2 billion because throwing a few million at the game alone for rights just wasn't worth majongs time.
