I think a better question would be, can it succeed anywhere? It's getting pounced saleswise in every market worldwide currently. With the US as it's only main form of significant sales this gen, it's looking at a rather low install base. I can see it doing slightly better lifetime sales than the original xbox, mostly due to America's love for the brand. But worldwide, this gen belongs to Sony.
