OT: I can see people trying to set this up but failing. Come on. Gaming is about playing games and games have gotten more accessible through the different difficulty settings. I guess people could farm out multiplayer game time to get a better K/D ratio but I can't see this catching on without a secure and stable platform to launch from (it will imploded on itself with the lack of security and people taking advantage)

Have to agree with you. Plus for this to work, you will need a solid broadband service. Maybe if Sony sets the fee, then it will stop people abusing it. I think this could work on multiplayer titles.

All Sony would have to do is limit the friends list, or put a cooldown on how often you can add someone originating from one ip to another, or disable features on new friends for so many hours. Not to mention last I heard this will be streaming quality and from the looks of ps now, 720p or worse depending on the internet connection. Renting, if they ever do it and the real thing will be much better.

QuickTime: no, actually this site was very anti Sony at the first 3 years of the ps3. I know because I traded in all my 360 stuff after my console broke and bought a ps3 5 months after it released. Back then you would think Sony had brought the worst thing to gaming in Blu ray and they were still in the PSN infancy. Right now it would appear that Sony has the favor of the masses again.

Edit: I should say that I have been following this site from the release of the 360.

I can vouch for this Smielman. @Quicktim3 This site used to be extremely anti Sony. Every article was a doom and gloom PS3 story and it was rampant with 360 fanboys laughing in the faces of PS3 fans. Over the years PS3 started to turn things around and at the end of last gen it was on top. The community shifted with it and now this gen PS4 is the dominant console here at N4G.

they're getting rid of the access passes (season ticket) that have been in existence for a few years now for the sports games...EA Access still exists

I can see how TwitchTV are making this work, especially with developers creating ways for viewers to also interact with the games they are watching. I think this idea could potentially take that concept to another level if its done right of course.

Your right. It would be iffy ground allowing people to charge for the stream (either way). Essentially that would be a streaming service except no deals have been made to publisher by you or the guy at the other end.

This is very shaky copyright law breaking ground [users profiting from streamed gameplay content] which is another reason why it will not take off

its idiots like you who make me want to live on a different planet as well as the author of the title. the whole point of this sharing streaming service is to essentially play free games mainly co-op or sports games were you can play 2 player as the time limit is pointless.

i'm planning on sharing my game with my brother this way but the way you think of it is to con people out of their money. thats the same logic Sony has with PS now and to rent hours of gameplay and people complained about that very thing are now planning on doing to other people. you make me sick. greedy little idiot.

Way off topic:
Just got my ps4 back from repair and noticed they changed tue bottom of my ps4, instead of having the 4 rubber holders it has 2 on the side. Two long strips of holders.
Also the usb port seemed tighter when i connected my charger, and the ps4 is finally whisper quiet as others had stated here on n4g which i didnt beleive. I had the launch one from Amazon and had a faulty drive and i beleive i got sent a refurbished one
OT: the share Button can already make you rich, if you know how to use it to your advantage
@Majin: nah my profile wasnt on it but the ps4 had a similar scratch where i rekember mines having it. The shiny part also came covered with plastic and when i peeled it off the case was lightly scratched so i dont even know if i got mines back or a new one but this one is pretty quiet compared to my old one

I know developers are looking at the Way TwitchTV has successfully made their service so successful. one of the reasons is the obvious financial gain, players can stand to make broadcasting. If they Sony could provide a way for people to make money sharing their games to friends, it will be more of an incentive to do it. I can see this actually taking off, but it will have to be done right.

Nobody has mentioned the fact that there is a time limit on the game you are sharing. IIRC you're only allowed 60 minutes. Granted, you can reconnect after that 60 minutes, but is that not a huge pain in the arse?

it is so its really good idea for sports games. if your friend buys loads of sports games which are two player games then you could play with him as long as you want as the time limit would be pointless. i hope no lowlife is going to charge others for using the shair feature as thats real low even for some greedy people.

That's the point, so that people can't just set their PS4 as a server & let their friends play indefinitely, both parties have to be present.
It could also pursuade people to buy the full game if they want to play full time with their friends with no interruptions.

Somethings confusing me about Gameshare.
If I share say, Far Cry 4 with my friend will he be playing my save or his own?
For example, imagine Im stuck on a boss. Can I gameshare, and he comes and kills the boss for me and I carry on, or will he get his own save game?
Who gets the trophy, him or me? Confused.
