Why Smite On Xbox One Is A Big Deal

It's the 1st console MOBA. Could be bigger than Tomb Raider. Tomb raider is good and all but it's another pretty 8-10 hr experience, not the possibility of 100s and 100s of hrs of gameplay.

Well I really dont think most console gamers are PC gamers, something console gamers only care to highlight when it benefits them in the fanboy wars. They are at the end of the day for the most part different markets, so it actually is more of a big deal than you think. If they were the same market Minecraft would not be so successful on consoles alone.

Looks pretty smooth and I'd rather play a MOBA on a console than a PC. Click-to-move is just a poor control scheme imo.

But I would rather have one that I can just buy, rather than a free or cheap game augmented with micro-transactions.

I will definitely give Smite a look.

Eh it looks like all those games when F2P games were first starting out. Also I don't care for MOBA's. Plus it's on X-Done so I have no reason to care for it. Also did I say it looks like a early F2P game when they were first coming around? Kinda like Happy Wars. Booooooooooooooring.

I love uninformed opinions on games. looks a little like happy wars (actually they look completely different. Im guessing x-done means microsoft is x-done fucking around. This year's gamescom has a lot of sony fanboys full of vinegar.

I don't know how it will work on consoles. But, on PC it was a F2P MOBA. However, the great thing that they did was to offer a deal to put up $30 or so and get every character for the life of the game. So, even as the game expands, you get the free content. I've never played it, but I have watched streams and it looks pretty fun.

There's something about MOBA's and their 2 to 4 "broadcasters" in suits sitting behind a desk that really makes me irrationally angry inside :)

Evolve did the same thing when it was first shown if I remember correctly. Instant turn off for me. Guess I'm not into e-sports.

Yeah, the one thing that's worrisome about Evolve especially in the beginning before Evolve was even announced or became famous they talked about releasing with 20+ monsters, but now the target is 3 and everything else will be DLC or some BS.

This is only a big deal if it does not pop up on PS4. I currently play this game on PC and would never give up Keyboard and Mouse for a controller in any MOBA. That being said Smite is ridiculously fun.
