Seriously if Sony gave Dean the access he wanted then this a win win for everyone.

Dean wanted FULL access to servers with NO interference and if he got that then BRAVO to Sony for getting out of a creators way to do what he does best for the sake of gaming.

Maybe Chris Roberts needs to call Sony again because he wanted the same thing. FULL 24/7 ACCESS.

Agree with you ATi....Breaking point (Arma3),Epoch (Arma2/OA) and Wasteland (Arma 2/OA/3) is where DayZ is the strongest. Vanilla gets boring real quick.

Also isn't Dean leaving at the end of this year to start his own company meaning he won't even be working with the Sony team?

I'm glad it's going to console, It has had hardly any development since it was early access released and hopefully now it's going to PS4 it might get back into motion.

Don't forget you are getting DayZ Standalone NOT The real DayZ.

Also all them Crazy videos you see online are Arma2/OA/3 DayZ videos, something you will not be getting.

With there being so much difference to even think of naming i'll use an analogy to compare.

Skyrim - DayZ Mod

Call of Duty - Standalone

DayZ Mod is a zombie sim with thousands of mods added to make it a really in depth game.Even the strongest of gamers who have let's say 1,000 hours on CS and WoW will admit the learning curve is very tough.

Standalone is more arcadie it has like 10 different guns and a few new items with zombies that tend not to irate you too much. Easy to get into as it has more places to find loot. Food is more powerful than weapons in the mod sometimes where as the standalone it seems to be everywhere.

Not saying standalone is a bad game because it has some things i would like to see in the mod such as the blood types but thats about it really.

You have to play them both to understand.

The only way it will work is if they use a much different engine, if not, good luck with all the bugs and problems lol They have so far to go on the PC version that you won't see a PS4 version till 2016.

Optimizing a game for a standardized console is supposed to be a lot easier than doing so for the wide range of possible gaming PC setups. It could come out fine.

On another note, maybe they have been too busy porting this to the PS4 to patch/fix all those bugs?

Or you could be right and it gets release in an unsatisfactory way on PS4 as well.

Already played countless hours of the PC version and we'll see how this game will come to PS4 since it isn't really... Finished yet.

But great to have a confirmation that it'll come! It will be polished and whenever it is past the alpha stage it will be awesome. I'll be playing this on my PC but this is good news for those that want it on console do good for them!

Coming in 2025 for PS4 after they finally finish it for PC in 2020. I still get lost in the game, as far from finished as it is, but I can't see this coming any time soon. So far out I'd forget about it. H1Z1 will most likely hit the ps4 before DayZ.

This is only a good thing on PC and PS4 both. Good for PC because it will speed up development as Dean Hall said and make a better game, and it's good for PS4 because they get DayZ!

DayZ is OLD news.

DayZ PS4 will NOT speed up PC version, look at the mess Planetside 2 was for PC for 6 months while they concentrated on PS4 version.

The best Zombie game hands down right now is BREAKING POINT, a mod for Arma 3.

To the people complaining its bad on pc... The game is not done, they are porting it to a new game engine that will prolly fix the bad fps and most of the bugs. and the game is planed for a summer 2015 release on PC so there is plenty of time to work out the kinks.

Maybe there just planning for the future? It has been sad be a few developers porting a PC game to PS4 and vice versa does not take that much time.
