Best Buy was corrupt for selling extended warranties they made 67% profit on. Or charging $50-60 for installing a hard drive that takes less than five minutes to install.

Corrupt? More like a smart kind of "corrupt." It's Best Buy's problem, not the consumer. By law, at least where I live, the store has to honor the price that was placed on a product whether that price was an error or not. I've taken advantage of many pricing errors Best Buy made on games.

I think stores are having problems selling them so they are marking down the price as incentive for buyers.

I was at a store before the kinectless xbox was out and they offered me a xbox one with kinect for $400.

To a store inventory that takes up shelf space that isn't selling means they have less shelf space for items they can sell. They will often give steep discounts for items they are trying to get rid of.

Still $45 is amazingly low.

It's possible they tried to sell it for $450 but missed the zero. The problem with that price is that's still more expensive than a ps4. I think most people would see $450 as $50 more expensive than the ps4 instead of $50 off the price.

if you read the article it was for a rayman legends bundled 500gb xbox one...OBVIOUSLY the mistake was that the rayman legends stand alone game was supposed to be priced at $45, not some sort of conspiracy to get rid of xbox one consoles

Stores don't borrow the Xbox ones from MS... They buy them from MS and then resell them. You would be doing Xbox a favor and not the store.

You know it is unlikely anyone will receive these, right? Mistakes in pricing happen in retail and you are under no obligation to honor them. If a customer were upset that you accidentally labeled a console for $45 on your online service and complained about it then they were never worth it in the first place. They only wanted to take advantage of an easy to make mistake.

No, someone posted that Best Buy actually honored it. The trick is to reserve in-store for pick up online and then hurry and go pick it up. Other people also managed to get it priced match at Futureshop and they also honored it.

Sony is actually retarded; here in Canada anyways. Everyone I know is buying Xbox Ones instead of PS4s because they are cheaper here.

Xbox one without Kinect is $399.99

PS4 is $449.99 because Sony Canada is greedy. If it was a currency thing Microsoft's console would be raised as well, along with Wii U etc.

At least even most retailers that I've seen like Gamestop and Futureshop are all offering bundles with Xbox too. Sony really needs to step it up here.

The xb1 is for the true gamers.

The ps4 is for the shovel ware lovers and the pixel counters.

Theres nothing wrong with that per se, but I much rather play the best games than count pixels.
