EPIC!!!! Man I'm so freaking hyped for this show, better yet, the whole Halo MCC package.

christocolus3554d ago (Edited 3554d ago )

OMG ...I'm so hyped. I need Halo mcc, Halo nightfall and Halo5 in my life like right now.

343i have outdone themselves with halo mcc. We get to play 4games, watch nightfall and enjoy halo 5 mp beta for a month(starting just 2days after christmas day). Awesome. by the time halo5 is out I should be fully prepared for it. Besides Nightfall, ive also read that the mcc will include some new cutscenes which will help link the previous games to Halo5. I honestly can't wait to see that game in motion. Its going to be bloody brilliant.

This has just increased the hype levels for everything halo on xbox one.

Yeah looks like very high quality work going into Halo Nightfall's production.

Even without a full blown entertainment focused studio I think it will be a good idea for microsoft going forward to continue bringing a few select games like they are doing with Halo and Quantum Break to film. Gamers love this stuff when it's done right.

OpieWinston3553d ago

Halo MC Collection value is so high it's not even funny.

I'm so happy that Nightfall is looking as good as I wanted it to be.

Riddley Scott is doing a Alien with this, and it works perfectly. The atmosphere of this show is amazing.

Agreed!
Absolutely!

I'm going to make this an event, when HMCC drops.

OMG
2015 release other Halo séries, but now is tv show, from steven spielberg

"as the plot unravels, they’re drawn to an ancient, hellish artifact where they’re forced to fight for their survival,..."

No doubt its forerunner...war sphinx??? http://howdoigame.files.wor...

What I like about this is they are exploring the tensions surrounding ONI...humans are not exactly saints in the Halo universe.

mafiahajeri3554d ago (Edited 3554d ago )

that theme in the end gives me goosebumps...

Halo Nightfall’s Story Problems Keep Building Up

Halo Nightfall is only the second live action series that Microsoft has put together for its landmark series. Halo Nightfall takes the action back to where Halo began the first Halo ring that humanity discovered. It gave Microsoft and Ridley Scott, who they brought into to direct it, a wide open field to play with. Nightfall has aired three episodes now and each one is filled with story problems.

Godmars2903428d ago

Meh. When hasn't a professional game related film project reinvented or outright ignored lore, despite being targeted at people who know and expect to see correct references.

ScorpiusX3428d ago

That up coming garbage movie called F4.

otherZinc3427d ago

I like it a lot! My problem is the episodes are too short.

Also, I hope they give us episodes 2-5 leading right up to midnight launch of:
Halo 5 Collectors Edition!

Lets point out the flaws in this guys article...

No one mentioned they were ONI? IT'S ON THEIR ARMOR! Least 4 of them would have an ONI symbol on their armor not hard to spot it on one of their chests.
Besides they set it up so it made all UNSC divisions look like assholes to everyone else. Even in one of the "Second Stories" they show how everyone knows UNSC and ONI because they're arrogant.

How the lekgolo have been living their for so long? Simple... They can bunch up together and harden their density when ever. They're an organism that thrives off one another.

No one ever said he was a Spartan II... Is this guy going based off the scars on his arm? Because that wasn't just Spartan IIs, and the story he was relating to was being told from his dad. Do you really think a kid who was kidnapped would remember a lot about the setting off where the story was told. You can confirm that his dad was in England.

I think the only problem with Nightfalls story is that we still haven't seen the point to it. Is it setting us up for an Honorable Agent Locke hunting down Chief or is it showing us that when he's got no where to turn he'll rip apart anyone who gets in his way.

The Halo 2 Anniversary cutscenes gave us an idea of what he's all about... We just don't know enough about his back story is and who are the mystery Spartans with him.

That's about the size of it, especially questioning how an alien race that thrives in harsh environments can survive in a... harsh environment. I enjoy a good nitpick article, but not ones that desperately grab at straws.

Story-wise, right now I'm wondering if MC will team up with Halsey/break Halsey out of jail to rebuild/remake Cortana, forcing Locke to hunt him down as a criminal or traitor. Feel like they've set that up quite nicely in H4, but just a wild stab to be honest.

OpieWinston3428d ago

Halo 4 set up the Reclaimer Saga pretty well and I think people are just looking for problems with Nightfall.

It's a step up from Forward unto Dawn.
And I can't wait for the Spielberg series...

But isn't Halsey free and with Jul right now. That's why Chief is probably hunting him down. Because after Spartan Ops Jul got a hold of Halsey and she said she wanted revenge.

It'd explain why Chief is still holding her Data chip and how he considers her the human part of him.

My dream cast for Halo 5 Guardians...
Lord Hood to make an appearance(I love Ron Perlman... and Lord Hood wanted to see Chief when he went AWOL)
Thel(Confirmed
Rtas(Likely)
Blue Team!
Black Team(Dead...)
Didact(Still hoping he's alive)

TO FIND OUT WHO THE HELL ARE THE SPARTANS WITH LOCKE!

WeAreLegion3428d ago

If you expect to watch sci-fi without plot holes, you're gonna have a bad time.

Blues Cowboy3428d ago (Edited 3428d ago )

When in doubt, blame the Midi-chlorians.

Blues Cowboy3428d ago

This is actually my biggest problem with it. I like the story, I like where I think it's going, but it's just taking an age to get there. Thankfully the 'second stories' are all surprisingly good.

matt1393428d ago

2 episodes stranded on a the destroyed ring. It's starting to take the piss. It doesn't feel like a halo series when i'm watching it.

Illusive_Man3428d ago (Edited 3428d ago )

nightfall in my opinion has been surprisingly good, especially the side stories. My only problem is the length of episodes feels so short. And the season is over apparently in 3 more episodes. We still have a ways to go before Halo 5 launches so hopefully we get another season or 2 between now and launch. I think season 1 is more about understanding who Locke is as a soldier. Others will probably go into him becoming a Spartan, civil war or Sanghelios, etc etc
