Stunning Looking New CoD: Advanced Warfare 1080p Screenshot Shows Game Changing Exoskeleton Mechanic

Sledgehammer Games has just shared a gorgeous looking in-game 1080p screenshot of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, to celebrate the specail occassion of #HammerWeek. This screenshot showcase game's Exoskeleton, one of the game changing mechanic which will allow players to move faster, jump higher and fight harder.

i give props when its deserved, if that screenshot on the bottom is real it looks really good. not the best but really good for a call of duty game.

@tkato - I'm no fan of CoD and I'm looking forward to Destiny, but Destiny isn't going to impact CoD sales much, if at all.

What may impact CoD sales is if CoD changes too much from what the masses like.

Iam with you on that one, how many games this gen have been downgraded on launch from there initial showing at a trade show a year ago.

We all got excited when we saw Watchdogs last year at E3, look how that turned out, i know it's only beta, but The Crew looks like a PS360 game, looked amazing when shown at E3.

True, but I think it's only fair to give Sledgehammer games a chance. This is their first effort. New studio, with a different style on a new engine. This studio is actually made up of pretty solid people and I am hoping they can breath new life in this series. I'm holding my judgement till release.

First of all its actually there 2nd attempt at COD, they helped out with MW3. 2nd The engine is not new its still the same engine from last year.

This is their first effort on their own vision. I thought Sledge helped with MP aspect, but was directed on what to do and whatnot. I should have clarified that it's their first full-length effort.

COD games often look pretty but falls down on gameplay. Problem with that is you have to buy the game to find that out.
So little of their maps are actually usable having so many invisible walls to block you from finding interesting routes.

I really miss the Unreal map environments where if you could see a ledge you could use it somehow.

I suspect we will be bombarded with endless hype till it's out and a month or so before it's released there will be some kind of 1)leak 2)something controversial that the media will get their teeth into and might be removed

Call of Duty games haven't had anywhere near the best graphics since MW1 came out.

Whether YOU like the gameplay or not ... it is the multiplayer's gameplay that keeps people coming back over and over and over again.

Wrong, last gen version is being developed by high moon studios the former transformers dev. Hence why they say it next gen first. Assets will not be mis used for one gen or the other. Sledghammer are only doing current gen, hence the pretty darn good graphics. We will not get a watch dogs incident here I believe!

Doesn't take a genius to realize this is nothing more than PR trying to hype the game up. Every year these games get hyped to infinity, then people buy it and then bitch about how garbage the game is and how little it innovates. AW will be the same. No point in trying to pretend it'll be "game-changing" when it's the same goddamned thing as has been done before.

Titanfall was supposed to be a revolution, the best FPS ever made according to plebs on this site and fanboys elsewhere. Look how that turned out. Mediocre game with little replay-value and almost everyone I know who played it got bored with it within weeks.

I don't know, I thought Titanfall was a step in the right direction.

The thing I like about Advanced Warfare is that they have clearly made changes this time around (which is what everyone has been asking for right?) and another reason I'm excited is that it's has been in development for over 3 years which is a lot longer than previous Cod games, as well as it being made by Sledgehammer Games rather than your standard Treyarch/Infinity Ward.

Game changers for COD, maybe, but for everyone not interested in COD, this isn't gonna interest me. The core mechanics don't look much better and they still seem to be trying to force fake emotions down people's throats. That's all fine, since the game isn't targeted towards me and shouldn't try to target everyone, but still, not game changing in the entire scheme of things.

I'm going to give Sledgehammer a chance here. Their first effort on a new engine. Game looks pretty solid from what I have seen at E3, just need to see the meat and bones (Multiplayer) aspect of the game before I get any form of excitement. If it's more of the same then, eh, but I am hoping they can add a new element to FPS. God knows FPS really need something innovative.

With the exoskeleton it is no longer a matter of a male being stronger than a female. They could and should have a female lead. Just watching the repetitious crap as it was developed and published made me sick of the game and I didn't even play it. They need to do more than what other companies have done before it because right now to me it feels like a Crysis ripoff.
