From GamesReviews:
"It wasn't that long ago that Grand Theft Auto V was a mystery. We didn't know that there were going to be three protagonists or that a huge chunk of the game would basically be an MMO-lite, we'd never have dreamt that the game might feature the kind of soul-destroying violence against teddy bears that it eventually displayed... That was then, and since GTA V was released is has garnered dozens of perfect scores, awards and millions of sales. Everybody who wanted to, almost without exception when you look at the statistics, has played it. So why do we still know next to nothing about the re-release?"
Grand Theft Auto V was released on PC on the 14th of April 2015. That means the game will be nine years old in four days, and it’s still among the most-played titles on Steam. With a 24-hour peak of 145K players, it’s as popular as Baldur’s Gate 3, Apex: Legends, and Destiny 2.
The freedom to explore large areas, approach objectives in multiple ways, and stumble across amusing distractions will always be an excellent format for video games, but some do it better than others. Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 5 are both classics, but movement and general interaction sometimes feels like you're possessed by a fridge.
Rockstar need to learn that 12 years of work and 5000 employees doesn’t account for one persons opinion on the internet…
The controls of RDR2 felt a but cluncky indeed, but it’s not as bad as some make it out to be. At no point did I get the feeling my experience with the game was held back or ruined by the controls.
But it can never hurt to optimize them a bit, sure.
Red Dead Redemption felt clunky at first but I got used to it fairly quick. I thought 2 was easier to control but it could be my experience with the first game helped me out. Great games
I wouldn't call Rockstar games characters clunky instead they feel like they move with Weight they are not twitch controls press x to instantly snap onto cover the characters instead move like a actor would ducking behind cover they are exposed while they get there.
It's going to be the same game with better textures and etc
No they haven't. Gamers are too spoiled and entitles these days, too used to seeing gameplay and screenshots of games every week before release that now they expect it...and actually feel that they have the right.
Plus, it's the Rockstar way. They've always been the type to announce something and then go into hiding. Builds up the hype nicely, imo.
Rockstar are always tight-lipped
Could care less about remasters of year old titles. I like GTA V, but these games should be 10 to 20 bucks tops for just prettier graphics. I hope they show off RDR 2 pretty soon.
Because they've been doing some actual work instead of doing nothing but media hyping how 60fps is groundbreaking!
