Yes, Destiny's Xbox One Ghost Edition Does Exist, Here Are All The Box Arts For All Platforms

With the promotional and content partnership between Activision and Sony Computer Entertainment, PS4 assets of Destiny are definitely getting the most attention, and Activision itself sent a press release that included the box arts for the PS4 version only.
This, and the fact that the Xbox One ghost edition is currently not available on Amazon, led some to believe that it won’t be made available at all. Luckily that won’t be the case. All the box arts included.

Sony must've really paid out of the butt hole.

Doesn't ms do this with cod? Destinys Exclusive content until Fall '15 is longer than a cods month but ms are the ones who started this trend...it's a bs trend no matter who does it..but this isn't new.
Fully on topic...the box looks like a treasure chest.....awesome.

Doubtful, would you like to go on a console that has 10 million consoles sold or 5 million shipped/sold?! Hmm? Besides it's not like Microsoft have ever paid through the butthole as you so eloquently put it.... $50million for GTA4 content that was great but ended up on ps3 anyway, what a waste of money.

NobleTeam3603579d ago

PS4 hasn't sold 10 million consoles, unless you're talking about by time Destiny comes out in September.

IcicleTrepan3579d ago

how about both for 15 million?

xDHAV0K24x3579d ago

irrelevant. They want to maximize their profit and by being on last and current gen, they will make a ton of money. Idc for PC, but obviously that would be even more money!

FanboyKilla3579d ago (Edited 3579d ago )

I dont get what yall are talking about. Are sony fans upset there is a destuny xone? Why would bungie turn their back on their true fans. 2 years ago sony fans downed bungie. And sony fans hate halo soooooooo..... There is no way possible for a halo fan or anyone who has played halo, can play destiny and it not feel like halo.

My gripe with destiny is that when you play it, its soooo much like halo. Its not a bad thing, i just wanted something out of the box from bungie. Not a halo like game without the name. Hell kudos to bungie for being able to still eat off of halo. It is their baby. Was.

I have to agree if i pay $60 like the other guy, he shouldnt get more. They have got to find a better way to sucker people in on a system. Its going to leave a nasty taste in gamers mouths. I honestly cant support you or your game if everyone is paying the same price but the other guy gets more. Wtf. If it comes out eventually than who gives a flying one. This is a better and more important topic gamers. Res and fps my arse.

FalloutWanderer20773579d ago

I have to agree with a lot of what you posted.

On the same price paid but not same content stance? This is exactly why CD Projekt RED are awesome and becoming one of the most popular game developers and unsung heroes of the industry IMHO.

Call it what you will or think of it in anyway you like - It doesn't change the fact most AAA devs and publishers milk franchises and ripoff the gamers 9/10 with dlc and exclusive offers.

Then you have the DRM.....

I sincerely hope we begin seeing an increase of game devs and publishers following CDPR's lead.

As it stands now - This it not how I personally want things to be. It isn't right nor is it fair to the consumers - US.

GrandpaSnake3579d ago

i disagree! playstation fans, a lot of them like halo, they just never held it so high up on a pedestal like that. if they hate on it, it was probably because they liked more games than fps.

andibandit3579d ago

@grandpasnake

"i disagree! playstation fans, a lot of them like halo"

LMFAO

JoeIsMad3579d ago

It's more likely that Bungie needed to show audiences that after ten plus years of Halo on the Xbox platform that they are dedicated to the PlayStation brand.

You should also take into consideration that Activision is the publisher, and they split the difference with Destiny, giving exclusivity rights for the Call of Duty series back to Microsoft, and gave Destiny to Sony.

Sevir3579d ago

They didn't give anything to either platform holder for free. It's a Business partnership, inked by silver pens, blank checks and suits of the publisher, platform holder and the developer, all of which happens in a conference room probably at the platform holder's main headquarters.

Sony Paid top dollar to have bungle's new IP represent PS, the same way MS paid top Dollar to have COD represent XB...

xDHAV0K24x3579d ago

Money and freedom. That's why it's a 10 yr deal with Activision Blizzard

ramiuk13579d ago (Edited 3579d ago )

i dont think so, didnt bungie have alot of hands on with the ps4 before release?

after all that time working with MS ,im sure by the endo f the first meeting with sony they knew who they wanted to be closer to.

it certainly wont be on the same level as MS are with COD,which was probably a laughing point in SONY/BUNGIE first meeting and defo not on the scale MS paid for titanfail

BUT AFTER ALL I THINK ITS WRONG
if people paying for a season pass it should include the same content ,extra platform content should be seperate imobut the only people to blame here is MICROSOFT because they started all the timed exclusive stuff

AndrewLB3579d ago

"after all that time working with MS ,im sure by the endo f the first meeting with sony they knew who they wanted to be closer to. "

This is exactly the kind of knee-pad wearing, rabid fanboy crap that makes PS4 owners look bat-sh*t crazy. You actually sit around and fantasise about the most pro-Sony scenario, because in reality... deep down, you wish you were Bungie.

... you make me sick.

lol.

The Ghost Edition for PS4 is already sold out on Amazon. That was quick.

Freddy_Millz13579d ago

Not sold out, just not available for purchase yet. XB1 is the same way.

urwifeminder3579d ago

Wont buy a copy of this game until they confirm no PC version in the future can wait years lol.

Destiny Made Over $160 Million In Microtransaction Revenue In Less Than 2 Years

Destiny has made over $160 million in MTX revenue, and these numbers only account the data from late 2017 to early 2019.

Sgt_Slaughter332d ago

That's extremely low for microtransactions, especially for a game that's essentially designed around it

LucasRuinedChildhood332d ago (Edited 332d ago )

This was back when the game wasn't free to play.

The figures are from November 2017 to February 2019 (1 year and 4 months).

Based on that projection, the MTX revenue for Destiny 2 likely would have been closer to ~$240m for 2 years.

Not sure if premium expansions are included in that figure either although ... I'd hope that they are though and that most of the revenue was for actual content like Forsaken.

People spend way too much money on cosmetics.

Rude-ro331d ago (Edited 331d ago )

Seasons($10 and just got bumped to $12) and dungeon keys($10 each, two a year) are through the eververse(micro transaction) store.
So for those two years, in order to play a season, you would pay through micro transactions.

Sonic1881331d ago (Edited 331d ago )

Bungie Marathon will be worse since it's designed around it as well

Kurt Russell331d ago

It makes me sad to agree... but at the same time I am looking forward to giving it a go. Destiny 2 is so far in, I find it difficult to figure out what I am meant to do first.

buffig331d ago

I think FIFA alone makes over $1bn a year from mtx

anast331d ago

FIFA promotes a worldwide sport. It should make more money than destiny.

CantThinkOfAUsername331d ago (Edited 331d ago )

Let's compare something similar. Apex Legends and its ridiculous $18/$40 skins make EA a billion each year.

z2g331d ago

For as much as ppl complain how much they hate microtransactions, they sure don’t act like it. No wonder they aren’t going anywhere.

spicelicka331d ago

By "people" you're referring to millions and millions of people. Obviously the ones complaining aren't necessarily the same as the ones spending all that money.

That’s the sad reality of a game like this. I bought it, invested lots of money, and it can go away at anytime. I still think this was more fun than 2.

prob because 2 is a grindfest slog
