Even with VgChartz infamously over tracking the Xbox, the Kinectless Xbox One sold a bit more than 5000 more than PS4 on it's first week in the US. I fully expect PS4 to win this months NPD. This is a massive blow to Microsoft if this is even semi accurate, they needed way more than this 13% increase.

Well, I expect it to win to... because January, February, MARCH, and April, it showed the Xbox One ahead and those four months it was not. In May they over tracked both, but for some reason, their Xbox One number are always way off - almost embellished. So, I really don't have any other reason to believe otherwise.

About Sales predictions: NeoGaf is hilarious. They do their own sales predictions and most of them are more accurate at guessing than this site.

It's amusing that he has that many disagrees, when his point is pretty solid. I cannot believe people still use VGC as a rough measuring stick, when their numbers have been off by more than 100k for a console in a single month. Being off by 100k is absolutely insane and shows their numbers have zero merit. Which is why (like you said), people on NeoGAF are able to guess much closer to the units sold, than whatever VGC spews for the month.

Anyone notice the software totals? Xbone is beating PS4 in game sales by 330,000.

And keep in mind, the profit margins on these consoles is pretty much zero or perhaps a few bucks. The money is in the game sales. And M$ is kicking sony's butt.

Oh, its not an Xbox vs PS4 thing really. They get everyone wrong. Last month they had Wii U over Xbox One (Which was itself overtracked by nearly 30k) and the PS4 was also overtracked.

They are wrong. Like really really wrong - consistently.

I'd be completely shocked if Xbone outsold Ps4 that week, but not the week before it when the Kinectless box released (even if it was 5 out of 7 days - People were supposedly waiting, right? The sales in the first few days should have been explosive).

VG charts should never be taken seriously...ever. A person with common sense would wait for NPD. VG charts has proven itself wrong many times in the past.

Even IF this is somehow miraculously true.. X1 would need to sell 15k+ more for the last week of june in order to "win". It's unlikely.

VGChartz isn't a relevant source of information. The numbers on that site are not credible, or accurate -- and as much has been confirmed by the owner of that very site.

Estimates are not accurate numbers. Stick with NPD, and that sort.
