1.7 million registered Warframe Users on PS4

A lot of PS4 early adopters have taken advantage of the free to play Warframe, making it the second most download app on the system and boasting tons of registered players.

Yeh so far every "free 2 play" has been thoroughly underwhelming for next gen ...dc universe on ps4 was atrocious

War Thunder and Warframe are both pretty good IMO. Haven't tried DC Universe, not really an MMO guy. Blacklight Retribution is atrocious though, input lag, bad netcode, it's just borderline unplayable, and strangely, still kind of fun, but still almost unplayable.

Second impressions can wind up being better. Sometimes I play a game and I feel super bored with it and then I try it again somewhere down the line and it's so much more fun. That was my experience with Zelda Wind Waker.

I say try it again, it gets pretty fun, it's very expensive though if you want a new character(Be that MANY hours, or some money)

It used to take a LONG time to even fully understand the game. However, with the updated tutorials, it is a bit easier. BUT, in order to REALLY understand everything, you have to do some forum and WIKI digging. You don't even truly unlock the power of your first Warframe until it's at least level 20. Even then, you don't get the full set of weapons until your mastery rank is 7...which takes a LOT of play. If you are a person that likes grinding with friends and aren't impatient, then Warframe is a LOT of fun. You can get everything, aside from weapon slots, frame slots, and aesthetic stuff, for free. But, spend like $10-$20 dollars, and you can be set for a long while.

Im still not sure where these games make their money from as they're F2P & any paid content is extortionate but then again I continually hear these random people claim how they've just bought the "Titan" content pack or whatever it's called for £150 - The mind boggles!!

As a whole, for me the game is a bit touch and go. It's good for a F2P game but if you want to unlock even the very simplest of things you have to put in some serious hardcore hours or pay serious bucks. I downloaded it on release day & I must have played maybe 20+ hours total since then & I still don't think I have any new items or upgraded items so although it can be fun for brief spells it really defeats the point a little for me as it can be very repetitive especially without anything new to play with.

That is the thing about Free 2 Play that is unique. The anticipation is a much larger user base will sign up to try it out vs charging $60 up front to play and depending on the model you will have a much larger pool of players whom all have an opportunity to spend little to a lot in the game.

This article says "duplicate across a single account"...you can't do that in war frame. You get one account and that's it. So it's 1.7 million users.

You can duplicate your PC account to continue playing on PS4, the infographic doesn't separate new accounts from the duplicates.

So, you did the tutorial and maybe one mission. You can't even see the breadth of the game. With 25 or so characters, every planet and planetoid, the voids, orikin derelicts, and a crap ton of primary, secondary, and melee weapons to find, I don't even see how you could get more than a very, very basic understanding of what to do. I'm not hating on YOU. I am just saying that this game is FAR deeper than a cursory glance can provide. Maybe it's not your type of game, and that's cool. But, I would say it takes at least a fully leveled Warframe just to see what IT can do...let alone the mods...and the weapons...you get the point.

For me, it just really wasnt my cup of tea and I have other games Id rather play.

Tried to get into this game. I downloaded it and deleted right away. Then they came out with new content and I installed it again only to delete it again. Its not for everyone. There are some cool weapons and gears but its not fun and the missions are extremely repetitive to me. Can't wait for PS2.

The only things stopping me from jumping from PC version to this are the slower update frequency and the fact that accounts don't sync when switching between PC and PS4.

War Thunder is a flight combat game, using mostly classic WW II planes. Warframe is "space ninja" game. Both are F2P...offer really good co-op and support.

War Thunder isn't out in the US yet. But, if you have and EU account, you can get it. I don't know WHY it's not out in the US yet, though!?! LOL

warframe is an amazing game and super fun with friends ..
The beginning is the only semi boring part as it gets very redundant and repetitive until you progress further , much like an MMO in a way , lots of grinding if you don't plan on buying anything ever..

The game is solid,smooth and addictive and i HIGHLY recommend it , especially if you haven't played it that much , play more and you will see how much fun this game gets. :)
