One of the writers at Middle of Nowhere Gaming decided to take a look at the Zelda franchise as a whole and decide what exciting new features the next game should have!
Screen Rant, "The return of one controversial character could have an incredible effect on The Legend of Zelda, prompting the introduction of new features."
Honestly I really changed my mind on Fi with the remaster because they didn't make her interrupt your gameplay every 5 seconds, that drastically changed my views on her
Technically she's in ToTK but obviously can't take any other form than the sword she was made into. Also the companion feature has been done plenty of times in Zelda, I don't think it'll add anything new. If anything should be brought back it should be the Minish.
Matt from We Game Daily writes "The Legend of Zelda series has gone in a different direction. One which, try as I have, I just can’t get on board with. Here is why I think Zelda should return to its 3D roots."
Amen! A good, tight, Zelda game with a focus on dungeons and puzzles. Let people have the new style Zelda if you gotta, but let us have the OoT style games too. That's not without precedent either, the handheld 2D Zelda's in the style of A Link to the Past etc have coexisted alongside the 3D Zelda's before
Wind Waker had a perfect balance of open world and a cool, well hand-crafted design. Maybe try to keep the open world but put in effort to make more memorable story driven quests and locations.
A fan of The Legend of Zelda has recreated the iconic Japanese monster Godzilla in Tears of the Kingdom using the game's Zonai devices.
I like it would also be cool if some created Dragon Caesar in the game I would love to watch the two going at it.
I think maybe it really is time for voice acting.
Definitely agree with the voice acting and RPG elements. The Legend of Zelda II is one of my favorites due to the RPG elements and its challenging enemies. Most of all, I want to see this game story driven for once. Nintendo does gameplay and innovation like no one else, IMO, however they yet to make that story/presentational game that would proke emotion and thought. I think a new Zelda (possibly Metriod) would be the perfect platform to do so... also add something innovative for using the Wii U pad too.
I agree with some but RPG elements and Voice acting have no place in Zelda. For VA stop being lazy entitled brats, you know the minute they add in voice acting the the ones you begged for it (YOU) will be the first to complain about it. The game is fine without voice acting.
As for RPG elements, I disagree because Zelda has always been an adventure game where you had to use your brains and your items to solve puzzles. RPG elements will only over complicate things and people will have to grind out extra work because they didn't get item to level x. I liked having ALBW reward you for doing the side quest and upgrade weapons to make you stronger but they didn't interrupt progress. The upgrading in Skyward Sword was annoying and the breakable shield was annoying to the point where I just played the game without a shield. Link doesn't need to level up, experience points aren't needed just add more side stuff and side dungeons to enhance the adventure. Smarter AI would be welcome too for players with higher skill. I loved ALBW but i felt it was too easy and some dungeons WAY to short.
On the agreed points, aging would be interesting. Wind Waker was going to have aging in it before it was scrapped so seeing Link's progression from childhood to adult would be great. Time Traveling would need to be done well again, nothing crazy like going into the flying car future but simple like Ocarina of Time. Returning to different places would be fun but I feel it may get confusing since Hyrule drastically changes over all the games.
No voice acting please, it makes games look like cheap movies. I think characters show more emotion when there isn't any voice acting. Wind Waker is a perfect example of this.
No motion controls and I am good.
I would like to see and RPG zelda where you have side quests and gain expirience to upgrade Link's skills. Keep the gameplay like Wind Waker or Twilight Princess(gamecube version), make it an RPG with a bunch of quests and such, and the idea that Link starts as a kid in the story and gets older and older sounds awesome.
Too bad Nintendo will probably not do any of this
