Microsoft Details Every Feature Coming In Today's Xbox One Update

Microsoft have detailed exactly what is coming in today's Xbox One firmware update.

@rdgneoz Umm yeah PS2 was a weaker system and cost more then a Xbox so its no different this gen however the X1 does have some advantages over PS4 unlike the PS2 which had no advantage over Xbox.

I preferred the original Xbox over the PS2, mainly because of it's implementation of online gaming on consoles. Xbox Live was great back then, now it's a mess full of children.

Funny that, doesn't the X1 have a bigger library of AAA games to choose from right now? Goes to show you that it doesn't matter, people only buy consoles today on how its advertise and not how good it really is. The PS4 could have the worst possible games on the market and still sell well all because of marketing. I call it blind buying.

I own both N64 and PS1 consoles and I loved them both however N64 had the better games, and the console sold less then half of what the PS1 did. Figure that out. N64 was cheaper, had better games, and had heaps more power. Why didn't it sell? Marketing.

PS1 had FF7 and RE and Alone in the dark and Silent hill plus a ton more. N64 had some amazing games as well just nowhere near as many. I don't agree with your opinion on anything you stated. N64 may have had Goldeneye the best game but Resident evil compares to every game N64 had and so does ff7 and ff9 and Twisted Metal and GT and Tomb raider 1 & 2 and not to be forgotten MGS. Again i disagree with your opinion every part of it except the fact that xbone has 1 count them 1 single more retail game which is basically just reaching to use that as a Better games catalog since i would take resogun over DR3 Ryse and Forza. To be fair i'd take resogun over KZ too and i haven't played knack but i bet reso is better there too.

As someone who's supported them since the first Xbox and even bought their previous consoles at launch, I can tell you it's going to take a lot more than bug fixes/feature enhancements to sell me on this thing.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's great they're working at making the system perform better, but I just don't see the point of fanboys kissing their ass for doing so. That's something they should all be doing without question.

Someone like myself is not going to go out and buy one because they've done headset firmware updates, or improved their game dvr video quality. No.
I say, bring on the exclusives (games I cannot play on other platforms I already own), and drop the price. Then I'll buy it. Simple as that. All the other stuff, goes without saying.

I completely agree with choujij. Im also a day one Xbox and 360 owner but said screw MS this last gen because of their lack of must have exclusives and their fanboys. I thought the MS system was going to be better than the new Sony system due to the companies financial situation, but look how how that turned out. The only way i would buy a X1 is if it started coming with so many must have exclusives that i had to have them (and also, dropped the price considerably). Until then, the system is just to overpriced and weak for me.

Because of Wii U releasing at the end of 2012 both Sony & MS rushed their new systems out. Especially MS. IMO We should've been getting geared up to see the new systems this up coming E3.

In the end it was the right business decision. Look at what it did to the Wii U sales.

It doesn't have anything to do with making it a better value. It's still an overpriced piece of hardware when compared to the competition and that can't even be disputed it's a fact. MS likes to promote simple things like updates because they've been desperate yes desperate for any positive press pretty much since their TV TV TV reveal. It's PR 101 actually tricking simple minded folks like you who then praise MS for stuff in an update that should have been there when it launched on day one. Ran into that problem the other day on ps4, just delete games you aren't playing atm, re-install them later when you get the urge to play them again. I deleted 2 f2p games and about 200 gigs of uploaded videos I forgot to delete after uploading them :P

I really want to organize my pins. I know you can do it with Smartglass but I don't have a tablet. Also, I miss the quick menu from 360. I don't really like using my Kinect all the time to navigate my console at night time when everybody is trying to sleep.

Edit: But on-topic, great update, just for the friend notifications alone. My friends and I kept missing each other when we'd both be on. Makes it that much easier for all of us to party up.

I hate that they talk about the friend notification as it's a new idea when it should of been a default feature. Other than that this update is really wack.. step your game up MS when your updates are features that should of been there... cross chat/message 360 users, DNLA features, .mkv streaming, voice command through headphone mic, speech recognition through kinect 2 so when you speak it write the words on the screen. The list goes on. MS should stay low key until they have these default features ..
