Good to see South Park doing well.
Had to get that game on PC since it skipped the current gen.
The wait was worth it.

It shows that there has been a real demand for the Titanfall game, but there has not been so much of a demand for Titanfall on the Xbone console. If EA had released on other platforms they would have made a killing, but they didn't because of the exclusivity deal which makes you wonder just how much Microsoft compensated them.

awi59513664d ago

Well It being exclusive guarantees xbox owners will buy it mostly. What else are they going to buy right now the next get of consoles is starting out really slow. I can't see my self spending 500 or 400 on consoles this gen.

I can buy a very very nice graphic card for that. Or buy 2 very good performing ones and crossfire or sli them. And dont give me that once card is better crap. My computer is so overclocked that it's practically on fire i get no jitter in dual card builds at all anymore.

avengers19783663d ago

I wonder if TitanFall would have only been XB1, if it would have sold more consoles... I mean I have to believe there's a good number of people that would have bought an XB1 for TitanFall, but decided they didn't need to, cause they could wait and get it on 360.

Great game, very well deserved, not many shooters are as smooth as Titanfall, especially the online component, one of the best multiplayer shooters in awhile,
really enjoying it on Xbox One

Ron_Danger3664d ago (Edited 3664d ago )

You don't have to say "especially the online component" since it's the only "component".

Just pointing out redundancies.

UnbiasedOpinions3663d ago

Lag, servers, rubberbanding along with gameplay is all smooth which is what i meant, we could of had a BF4 mess with Titanfall

Kayant3664d ago (Edited 3664d ago )

Wow the X360 version did really well given that it's hardly advertised. Not surprising to see XB1 TF keep it's spot given price cuts/offers that have been.

Minecraft has some ridiculous legs.... The game just prints out money. MS/Notch will be happy.

I:SS dropped quite a bit.

Will be interesting to see where Kinect sports rivals is next week.

Edit -

@DeathOfTheFanBoy
In public domain hardly. Considering it hasn't gotten that many full reviews or mainstream advertising as the XB1 verison did.

@Septic
It's truly crazy. I know the install base for X360 here in the uk is huge but for minecraft to be charting in the top 10 repeatedly like it has done is mad. I mean who is buying it? parents for their kids?

DeathOfTheFanBoy3664d ago

It's been constantly advertised on the xb360 dashboard for weeks, I'd say it's had plenty of exposure

Gazondaily3664d ago

Yeah the appeal with Minecraft is mad! Crazy how it keeps selling so much.

iamnsuperman3664d ago (Edited 3664d ago )

Minecraft is becoming increasingly more popular since its inclusion in the classroom. Quite a few primary schools are using Minecraft as a teaching tool. This means children are exposed to it and parents don't mind buying it since the primary schools allow it. Also children just enjoy it

I believe that is the reason why Minecraft has legs. It is easy to pick up and play and it is being publicised in the classroom which means parents aren't worried about buying it

Kayant3664d ago

Oh I never knew that's great to hear. It makes sense now given X360's user base as well.

DragonKnight3663d ago

My nephew wants Minecraft for his 8th birthday solely because he gets to play it at school. I doubt that Notch/Mojang ever though Minecraft would reach such deep acceptance. Kudos to them for the success they definitely deserve.

MysticStrummer3663d ago

"Wow the X360 version did really well given that it's hardly advertised."

Yes good for Bluepoint. I'm sure they would have liked more ads for their version.

LAWSON723663d ago

Not advertised? It is mentioned in every ad, it usually says only on xbox and PC.

Infamous now down from 6th to 13th, and ESO from 2nd to 19th.

Those drops offs.

iamnsuperman3664d ago (Edited 3664d ago )

Which is pretty normal except for the odd game like FIFA (well mainly in the UK/EU) or COD. After three weeks or so sales dip dramatically which is why after around three weeks (in some cases a week) you can see how well a game has done as its sales are not going to improve except for those exceptions

Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.

MadLad593d ago

Lol

All of these games are pretty much universally praised. Outside of Timeshift I literally own all of these.

Venoxn4g593d ago (Edited 593d ago )

XIII, The Darkness 2, Far Cry: Blood Dragon, Timesplitters: future perfect, Bulletstorm are awesome games

An ode to Titanfall: The last twitch shooter I'll probably ever enjoy

Windows Central: "Titanfall 1 is being sunset, taken off storefronts by EA. While the servers remain live for now, one has to wonder just how much time it has left. I look back and pay tribute to the last "twitch"-styled shooter I ever truly loved."

Physical media. Unfortunately the way games are going these days game servers will eventually be shut down and you can stare at the menu and wish you could play the game again.

littletad874d ago

This is why reading is so important. Nothing to do with digital or physical media. The game, which is online only, is being delisted because of DDOS and other hacker attacks. The case got so bad that only six players in the world log on. For PC. Rather than fix it, they continued to sell the game, broken as it is, and only now just decided to call it quits. But please, go on thinking what you will.

Ethereal872d ago

I'm aware of the DDOS attacks and that this case is not typical. This game would eventually have it's servers shutdown regardless of the current situation so that is a moot point. My comment was in a general sense and that there are instances in which games can be preserved physically when official support ends.

Let's recap your first sentence. I said, "the way GAMES are going these days" indicating a broader stroke than just this game. I agree, reading IS important. I was simply stating the obvious downsides of the digital marketplaces and online only trends in games these days. I could even make the argument that the online only offering which has allowed hacker manipulation has impacted the preservation of this great game. My comment is valid in the general sense and thank you for your permission to continue to think what I will.
