Wow, so this game actually turned out to be good?

sobotz3674d ago

Gameplay-wise it's pretty good, I played the beta. But still, I'm not willing to pay it more than the disc itself

noctis_lumia3674d ago

get a job then

u htink 10-15bucks is alot ?
how much u spend each month for cinema, cigs "if u smoke" and such things ?

dam i work and i dont have a problem paying a sub game at all

Tempest3173674d ago

@noctis_lumia

get a job? who said anything about 15 being a lot? It's not, that doesn't mean the game is worth it. And just to humor you, 15 bucks ONCE isn't a lot. What if you play the game for 6 months? $90. PLUS the $60 cost of the game. If you're putting a LOT of time in, and not playing anything else, maybe (i played wow almost exclusively for 6 years, so this isn't my first rodeo) But how many games could you buy with that $150 (over 6 months) investment? Couple brand new ones, or a SHIT TON of games from any number of sales. Pretty sure unless youre playing eso like a 2nd job, you can easily find a number of better experiences/games for the same investment. I'm not saying the game is good or bad, I haven't played since the first beta. What I'm saying applies to pretty much every sub based mmo. If you absolutely love it, congrats. But if you're not crazy about it, and spending a lot(or all)of your game time playing said mmo, then it's not worth paying extra, when that money could be put to other uses. IMHO, of course.

@noctis_lumia

Strong logic. Just because you have the money doesn't automatically make it a worthwhile expenditure.

An eyebrow has now been raised! I want to be convinced that a sub is worth it!

Magicite3673d ago

being good isnt enough for MMO. Theres an abundance of them and if your not top tier, then you are nothing.

thehitman13983673d ago

Is it a good mmo, maybe. But with it having the Elder Scrolls name in it, and having the art style like Elder Scrolls, don't you think it would somewhat play at all like an Elder Scrolls game???? I mean seriously, that's like having a GTA but not being able to go out into the city and do whatever you want. Ppl would be really upest.

So is any of you guys already playing it? Is it any good?

xPhearR3dx3674d ago

I love it and I'm a HUGE ES fan. I had early access since Sunday and so far I'm level 17 and it keeps getting better and better. If you go into the game thinking it's Skyrim Online, you're going to be disappointed. It feels like an ES game, but it's got that MMO touch added on.

The amount of content compared to the beta is quite mind blowing. I don't mean overall because that's obvious. But like the massive areas we were exploring in the beta, have about 100x more content in them. From quest, items, crafting materials, enemies, treasure to find etc.

I don't see myself putting this game down for a long time.

DarkLord10033674d ago

Thanks - downloading it right now ;-)

Xristo3673d ago

I completely agree! I'm loving every minute of it! Cyrodiil is so damn fun too! Questing and PvP'ing... so much to do!

Fil1013674d ago

I signed up for the ps4 beta ages ago but not heard anything yet, has it already started ? if not does anyone know when ?

ValKilmer3673d ago

I think they're going to test the waters with PC before they commit to PS4.

thehitman13983673d ago

They already have committed to the PS4. Its suppose to come out in May for it. Although I highly suggest you try Final Fantasy A Realm Reborn this weekend. Its free to try on the PS4

candy_mafia3674d ago

IMO this game should be free to D/L and then pay the $15 per month. I just don't feel it should cost $60 for the privilege to pay a sub.

That's just my feeling on it though....

ShowGun9013674d ago

I have a feeling you're not alone, and that this game isn't gonna take off too well, until they start giving away 90 days of sub with a purchace, or something similar. we'll see though, lotsa WoW players are used to it, so maybe it won't kill it too bad. but i bet the servers won't be overloaded LOL!

candy_mafia3674d ago

That's the thing though, I really love ES lore, so I really wanna play it.

But with Destiny and other RPG's with MMO elements available without subs....well you see my point ;/

Drekken3673d ago

6 months min and this game will be F2P.

ValKilmer3673d ago

I think there's enough of a fanbase for it to remain a paid subscription.

ShowGun9013673d ago

I hear ya!

i think the days of the paid sub died with Biowares Star Wars MMO.
