Hardcore Gamer: If you came away from this latest trailer with your appetite fulfilled and your excitement evermore greater, well good for you and I sincerely, genuinely, hope that the final product matches (maybe even succeeds) your now-lofty expectations. For me however, I can only come away from E3 with something of a damp and rather deflated state of mind. Not just because it looks like this game is years away from releasing — if the brief and monotonous offer of gameplay was any indication — but because it seems like Kojima may be going the way of a particular number of AAA developers/studios whose artistic vision and self-gratifying longing for a given message, narrative or agenda, overtakes the logical and reasonable need for unhinged substance.

I love the visuals, characters, art, world, and tone. The "gameplay" trailer was just a peek of in-engine footage. It was not indicative of what we'll be doing throughout the journey. There will be deep stealth gameplay and combat. It showed a gun in the game, you can kill things if you so choose. Kojima has a 20+ year history, he isn't making Gone Home. I am extremely excited for Death Stranding and i feel bad for those who don't own a PS4. This is Kojima unchained and regardless of how it turns out it's a title you can't miss.

It always happens though whether it's articles saying TLOU was fake when it was first shown or Uncharted 4 was fake and the retail wouldn't look as good(it looked better actually) or HZD's character animations were off and the story wouldn't be solid or GOW was now the Dad of Us and changing Kratos wouldn't work or Days Gone is just generic or Sony shouldn't bank on Death Strandingor or Detroit isn't a real game or Spider-Man is overhyped, not fun or we've had too many Spidey games!

It's ridiculous because Sony's games alway deliver and in particular this gen they're studios are on another level!

These silly articles will keep coming but so will the games that prove them wrong every time!

Well I get the frowns on the faces of some people, but i've been around since the release of MGS1 and I know it doesn't tell you anything about what the final product will be about. I mean remember the MGS4 trailer that straight up told us that there would be no place to hide in MGS4? Well anyone who played that game knows there's an infinite number of places to hide in the game.

I found the environments stunningly detailed and iam interested what the actual gameplay mechanics are. Kojima has always been an unusual producer who is very much concerned with doing something different that stands out. Now untethered from Konami he has the freedom to realize his vision. Thing is, I can agree that, after 2 years since the games original reveal, it’s annoying that Kojima is still being vague and releasing clips that create more questions, while answering next to none of the ones we already. However, it’s Kojima. That’s kindof his thing. To doubt him is ridiculous, and clearly someone has a personal reason for doing so, especially if they enjoyed his previous work.

I do wish the E3 demo was better, and showed more on the action side of things, and less endless walking, but the game is still going to be a day 1 buy regardless, because it’s clear that Kojima’s just being Kojima, and the game is probably going to be phenomenal.

It's fine to simply tease a game without revealing explicit details about it the first time but it's been 2 years and there's been multiple trailers which give me no indication of what the actual gameplay is going to be like besides being a mindf**k. I'm not sure anyone can really judge this game yet based on the gameplay seen so far.

Kojima makes great games. The bigger question I have is when will this actually ship. Currently gameplay has been really limited and more focused on the story. And Kojima is very well known for taking 5+ years to make his games.

If anyone is wondering about gameplay camera then let me tell you that it was tweaked especially for the trailer, Also this was a silent trailer and edited by Kojima himself. This was I would say an amazing trailer and only thing it did to me get more excited about it! I am happy that we are not getting CGI but instead real gameplay footage which just makes it awesome for me! Now leave me alone because I gotta hop on DS Subreddit to find out wtf is this game.
