I have a PS4 Pro and a One X so I read articles for both.

You're right in that the occasional Xbox Fanboy does show up in the Playstation articles, but it is nowhere near as bad as the amount of Playstation fanboys constantly trolling on MS articles.

It happens daily , the attitude is generally vile and / or off topic and it really spoils the forums on N4G.

So don't kid yourself buddy , it's bad and the attitude of these idiots is worse.

On topic, I am glad to hear about new features coming to the console, and also look forwards to upcoming game announcements (and possibly studio acquisitions) as well. MS is working on all of these things as we speak.

I agree 100%. But, it’s obvious they have nothing else going on in their lives to put some much weight to console sales. “PS more than doubles XB sales and has more exclusives”. Great... awesome... so go play them. It’s the same people over and over, saying the same things over and over. I’ve spent a lot of time to understand this logic, but you’ll drive yourself insane. Like I said, they have nothing else in their life. Just let them enjoy their console being #1... Video games are fun no matter what you choose. Some people can’t accept that

These are the kind of people that hunt in packs and absolutely cannot see anyone else's point of view - its not just the Playstation fanboys, there's bad apples in Microsofts and Nintendos carts too it just seems that the PS cart is more rotten than most.

Wow, I didn't think there was any sanity left on this site. Rampant fanboys everywhere. But if we're being honest, the PS fanboys have been absolutely toxic this entire generation. Yes, all platforms have trolls, but PS trolls are the most rabid and fanatical. Sony can literally do no wrong in their eyes, and anything that has Microsoft's name on it is instantly bad. Because reasons. I have said this before, Sony fans are worse than Apple Fanboys now. They are verging on that level of blind loyalty.

I know Im late to the discussion and I dont mean to play devils advocate here but dont you think the lower overall occurrence of Xbox fanboys on playstation articles may be due to a lower overall number of Xbox fans or very passionate xbox fans?

I agree the trolling is dumb as hell though I dont see the point. And personally I'd rather see more features on the machines so it spurs competition myself. Most gamers are not seeing this as a rivalry but in the aspects that it IS a rivalry the gamers win through the escalation of features value and games.

Well it thing already has all the features of a smart TV. The only thing it's lacking is the first party quality games like the Xbox OG and Xbox 360. To be fair this gen the X1 first party games line up have been a joke compared to the last 2 gen's. To be honest even the Switch that has been out less than a year has more quality first party titles than the X1 this whole gen.

No, features, I can see how the article confused both you and @Playstation_5 - I get confused when I don't read articles nor their titles.

I do not know if you are a multi-console user or only use one, and you know what the article is about yet you still use it as a platform to bring up a slanted topic. If you are enjoying your PS4 (like me) or your Switch (like me), then go play those systems, and stop trolling others.

You know what keeps me using my xbox more than the other two systems? - the community. The Playstation community is volatile, nothing more than a bunch of fanboys who foam at the mouths when any article about another system pops up. If Sony does it, its "amazing", if MS does it - "Oh no!." and Nintendo does it you act like your little brother just learned how to ride a bike...despite them in fact being your stepfather.

There is an article I think you both should read, and its actually on N4G, it discusses how each system developer is kicking-ass and taking names. I am certain after you both read the article that you'll come to the mouth breathing conclusion that "My Playstation is better," because you both like to give takes that do not totally connect with the article.

Look I’m not a Hayter of the Xbox overall I loved the OG and the 360 and even bought the X1 at launch just for Dead Rising 3 and the upcoming at the time Halo 5. But since that time what really have Microsoft first party put out that’s worth picking one up over all other consoles . The yearly Forza is about it . For a multi billion dollar company they just don’t seem that keen on making what made the last 2 Xbox consoles so great and that is quality first party exclusives . Say what you want about me hating if you want but truth is why ain’t they doing it ?. Just imagine all The great Xbox ip’s they could carry on but simply don’t . However the reason You will get down-votes is for exactly the same reasons You have highlighted in Your post because of the rabid nature of the Playstation Fanboy community on this website.

Fanboys in general are bad for gaming, every camp has its Toxic characters but as a number of posters on this thread have correctly pointed out the Sony fanboy's are the worst for it.

You only have to read the first ten posts on this thread to see it, Whilst obviously passionate about the PS4 the way that passion manifests itself is toxic and ugly and because on this site they are the "majority" due to poor policing by some (not all) of the N4G mods they have been allowed to get away with it.

These people believe that by adding down-votes and behaving in an obnoxious way to owners of any other system that they are in some way right and that is it correct and normal to behave in this way.

They constantly talk about exclusives, how MS had bad anti consumer practice at the very start of the generation and to an extent this is true.

What they forget to mention is that MS listened to the outcry and because of poor reception never went ahead with those practices and have adopted many consumer friendly practices since such as backwards compatibility gamepass and EA access as well as allowing MODs and cross platform play things that Sony has not implemented but the Sony Fanboys refuse to acknowledge this and even actively try and argue that these are "bad things"

Meanwhile, as an example Sony implements a poor choice of backwards compatibility via PS Now and effectively forces Playstation users to re purchase games they may already own but in the fanboys eyes Sony can do no wrong and this is somehow chalked up as a positive for Sony.

It is true that Sony has a far stronger line up of exclusive games - its very difficult to argue this any other way but why do the fanboys feel the need to jump on Xbox related articles and tell xbox users about this each and every day - surely if these exclusives are so good and so numerous then why waste time arguing the point on a forum when you could be enjoying these titles?

I bought My Xbox One X to play the best versions of multiplatform games - The odd MS exclusive is just a bonus.

I also own a PS4 Pro which I use to play Playstation Exclusives.

I own a switch too , because in My opinion Nintendo has the best games this generation on their system.

I am a fully grown man, I can afford multiple systems to play the games that I want to play regardless of whether that be on Playstation Xbox or Switch.

I do not require a insecure spotty 15 year old fanboy or a sad 30 something Playstation Superfan to inform me whether or not I have made a sound purchase choice with My Xbox One X , Switch OR PS4 Pro.

I also do not need to be reminded how many exclusives are available on the PS4 Pro on a daily basis, I know ..I own one.

I do not see the need for the toxicity within the N4G community, and whilst there has always been an element of rivalry between computers/ consoles (Spectrum Vs Commodore - Amiga Vs Atari ST - NES Vs Master System SNES Vs Megadrive) there has never been this level of toxicity and poison associated with it and it saddens me to say that IT IS primarily the Playstation cohort that are bringing this to the table this generation.

I say bring on the downvotes, it simply shows denial of accurate and measurable facts.

What the Playstation fanboys are unable to see is that for every post they make that trolls on an xbox article and for every downvote they give to logical , structured and well thought out posts on this forum they are actually reinforcing and reaffirming the rabid and fanatical stereotypes that I have pointed out in numerous posts I have made here.

It's akin to a self fulfilling prophecy , albeit one that they are already fulfilling.

I point out a stereotype of a Playstation fanboy and then in a knee jerk reaction to my post without thinking they reply and prove me correct every time.

I was sent a personal message from a poster stating that because of the number of downvotes on a post i had made that he was correct and that I had been "proven" wrong.

I pointed out to him that a fanboy is typically the kind of person that will use information such as downvotes to justify any point that they wish to make.

I then pointed out that this kind of person are usually bullies that use the internet to hide behind , these people are also often obnoxious foul mouthed and lacking in social skills the type that would use aggression and bad language to reinforce a point once they had run out of arguments - which usually happens very quickly.

I then sent this person a link to an article that detailed the unnatural emotional and tribal attachment that "Fanboys" have to what are essentially pieces of plastic , metal and circuit board and the way that often manifests itself in the form of obnoxious behaviour that would be considered antisocial in the "real world"

I then asked the this person to read the link and tell me if they recognised any of the stereotypes mentioned in the article.

The poster then sent me a torrent of abusive messages calling me amongst other things a pussy and cry baby , before branding me a homosexual paedophile and telling me that he had blocked me.

Naturally I reported this person to N4G as the kind of abuse i received in those messages is inexcusable in any situation.

That person has not posted on N4G since, I can only assume that the N4G moderators have done their job and quite rightly this person has received a ban or had their account limited to some degree.

The level I can predict the exact response from this section of the community is almost comical.

The way the bad apples of the Playstation community continue to use the same tired arguments in an attempt to seek reassurance from their peers that their slanted point of view using downvotes and a tribal pack hunting mentality just reinforces the points myself and other have already made.
