Microsoft has joined forces with The Chainsmokers to bring us a special edition of Xbox One S that lights up with all sorts of colors.

This seems like a good idea because they can get lost in a room because of dust, animals using it as a pillow or something so indicating lights would make it easier to find

It's nice to have more options. But I honestly don't understand the fascination of wanting to stick lights inside a console or PC. When I built my PC a friend of mine was also building his around the same time and kept telling me to buy LED strips and fans with LED's on to light it up.

I declined I rather just have plain looking PC and put my money into the GPU and CPU and cooler ect. He spent a good amount of money on LED strips ect. Yet once both where built mine looked like a smart PC his looked like he just bought his from Toys R Us. I just think putting flashing lights into an expensive PC or in this case a console. Just makes the expensive looking console/PC look like a cheap toy.

I would find it distracting myself. It can look cool if done right, but from a usability stand point, I'd probably just end up turning it off. My PC is under my desk, so I'd never see anyhow, and I don't have any desire to show off a flashy case.

I guess it's about akin to one tricking out their car though. To each their own.

Didn't know who it was, so had to look them up. Just my opinion, but it's bad pop music and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way. Microsoft's marketing just seems to be its own worse enemy lately.

I'm liking these custom consoles. Microsoft adding different aspects to their consoles versus simply slapping on a new paint job or stickers has been creating more unique consoles with more choices.

Hands down Microsoft has been offering some top tier custom consoles head & shoulders better than the competition.
