It'll just move on from Nathan Drake in my opinion

Chloe, Sully, Cutter, Rika Raja, cameos from Elena...plenty of characters to explore. The Drake storyline is finished in my opinion. It's better doing it this way then reboot it.

Only way I could see Nathan coming back without stepping on the toes of NaughtDogs ending is if another developer ignores the 4th game and creates then own timeline after Drakes Deception. I would be fine with that as it means they aren't messing with the ending ND created. Really would like to see him coming back next gen for another adventure.

I just hope if they continue with a great character like Chloe they will leave Nadine behind and bring Cutter back.

No buddy, that game had the perfect ending - don't touch it.

Otherwise I agree that making a bunch of $40 side-story single-player-only games is the way forward for now.

I'm interested to see what happens with Nadine and i'm glad they are going to flesh her out some more as she's badass, But i'd absolutely love to see Cutter to.

Doesn't mean they can't continue to explore the uncharted universe.
Imo ND can do whatever they want....they are a proven development team. They know what they are doing.

I figured that was case. ND claimed that UC4 was the end of Nathan Drake's story, never said anything about the series as a whole.

As long as ND themselves are still passionate about keeping the series going then it's all good.

For me, Drake was half of what made the Uncharted series so good. It's like Indiana Jones without Indiana Jones. I think they should move on to a new IP and new ideas.

Make a new IP and move on if you aren't going to use the actual main character. I guess some of these side stories are fine, I'll certainly play them...but this isn't what Uncharted should become IMO.

I can't imagine it being the same without Drake, he was the glue that held the game together, with his humor and the dynamic with other characters. That being said, I'm open minded to see where else they can go with it.

Chloe has the potential to be the same as drake in his prime. She's an awesome character. If they try to turn Chloe into the whiny baby cinema drake of uncharted 4 then I'm done with uncharted. It looks pretty good though, I'm optimistic. I agree with fox that there are many uncharted characters that would have been better than Nadine, all of them.

They should do a soft reboot with Nate and his daughter as the main characters, with the gameplay like TLOU.

I want a game about his daughter. less focused on action and more on exploration and the supernatural. They don't really explain the zombies, weird purple gorillas and whatnot in the main games and I think the daughter would be a good way to do it as she would be coming in with a fresh perspective and could be a little more like tri ico games sense of wonder with the tried and true game mechanics that naughty dog have perfected

I was totally thinking Nathan would die at the end of the last game...it would have been more epic if he had. I could see him getting a hold of a bomb in a last ditch effort to put an end to the rival gang, and then him talking to his wife one more time via a radio/walkie talkie saying his goodbye, as she cries and wonders what she will do without him as she awaits her newborn child....could have been a GREAT way to send off the series!

There would have been more adventures from Drake inbetween Golden Abyss and Drake's Fortune, which would include Sully and perhaps the first encounter with Chloe.
So much more prequel stories that could be told, I mean, Kojima did it, it could done with Drake too.
