Neil Druckmann, one of the head of Naughty Dog, explains why the highly anticipated sequel was absent at the E3 2017 show, stating that "Believe me, we're super excited to show you more of Ellie and Joel's 2nd journey, but right now it's Chloe and Nadine's time to shine."

Please out of all the devs when it comes to Sony first party they show real in game or usually live demos (they started that trend but this e3 didn't really do that?). With Sony first party usually what you see is what you get or better.

It's to get gamers hype, to inform them and Sony shows games coming out soon and some with more than a year off. Looks fantastic and Chloe shines as always but Nadine still....urgh. Still would have preferred Cutter and see their relationship develop more. The short time they had together in Drakes Deception felt like they had been a team for years. Could have had a cameo from Sully aswell.

Two rogue characters getting on an adventure with different motives being forced to depend on each other is awesome. Almost certainly. Uncharted The Lost Legacy is coming out in September and PS4 isn't until December. Naughty Dog is just giving The Lost Legacy its time to shine, but by PSX I'm fairly certain they'll be ready to show off The Last of Us Part 2.

It might have also to do with having to do a E3 build. Reading up on developers before press events, they have to make builds for the show and this actually drains the team as they have to polish up an area just for the show.

They might have something planned for PSX again as it gives them more time to naturally focus on the game and work on showing a more solid build.

I think clearly the Last Of Us 2 is going to look great, but in the ball park of Uncharted Lost Legacy, I mean...remember they are both part of the same team and still use the same hardware.

I believe E3 just isn't the place to show everything you've got anymore. Game companies are now releasing info on their games through various events, and E3 arguably remains the most popular and important one for them, but they hold back some info for other shows. Nintendo's been doing this with their own Directs for several years now, and Sony has the Playstation Experience. Then there's the other big game events like PAX, Gamescom and Tokyo Game Show.

I'm sure we will see more of TLOU 2 before this year ends, probably with a nice big load of info at Playstation Experience.
