New Battlefront II SP & MP Details; Gunplay Will Be Deeper, ADS Will Have Aiming Bonus

A ton of new Star Wars Battlefront II details surfaced. The developers confirmed that gunplay will indeed be deeper than the first game and ADS (aiming down sights) will be useful so that players don't just do hip fire.

The campaign will have both atmospheric and space dogfights.

Same with Battlefield 1 and Hardline, all are worse than BF3 or BF4.

I feel like DICE lost it recently, just like Bioware or Criterion.

It's fun for a while if you get it cheap. Don't expect anything deep but it does make you feel like you're in the original trilogy well. Shortcomings are huge though.

Its not bad just as long as you don't expect it to play like the previous battlefronts...and no sp....you know like sp missions I know the outcome of

It's bad because it's nothing like previous Battlefronts. The great graphics didn't help one bit.

You can get it used for a few bucks.

Its ok for 20 hours or so.....maybe lol If anything it would give you a idea of what to sorta look forward to in regards to presentation.

I'm glad they're adjusting the aim balance with ADS bonuses. It felt really weird to just run around hip firing a blaster and getting pin point accuracy as a stormtrooper

It worked for Quake and Unreal. It worked for old Battlefront. It felt weird because your generation has hardly seen these games with this aim style. Shooters that fire from the hip are few and far between these days. Even Halo is going away from it.

Hard aiming in Halo, decreased bullet spread for some weapons, as did crouching. Halo relies heavily on shot timing. Quake and Unreal, are focused heavily on gun skill, and you are suppose to move constantly, thus hard aiming had no benefit. Battlefront (2015), felt weird for shooting, because the 'bullet' spread was completely random, regardless of soft vs hard aiming and shot timing.

Agreed, well TF2 you can shoot from the hip.

I was actually ok with this in Battlefront as it reminded me of old school shooters from back in the day.

ADS, thank God. Nothing worse then being shot 100 yards away by an engineer officer with a small blaster. :D

I hope they remove the star cards things and bring back classes. Hopefully this one is more like the original two.

Battlefront was fun to play, but it got dull fast.

Glad to see the ADS adjustment, anything that adds more of a skill curve is a positive in my book. While I enjoyed the first one it was way too shallow in terms of the shooting and flying mechanics to keep me playing long term

Aiming bonus for ADS? Great. Her comes the Starwars Battlefield skin. Couldn't be as stupid as the Mass Effect Andromeda system. "Snipers do more damage while aimed down sights". Um, why?

Here's hoping it's just the battlefield clone crap they're shooting for and it's just a more focus ads system that doesn't change spread or damage values.

I found Battlefront (2015) to be completely boring, due to it lack depth. I will keep my exceptions for Battlefront 2 (2017) modest. I have had mixed opinions of Dice's most recent shooters, in terms of both singleplayer, and multiplayer.
