Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - Monoliths typical masterpiece
Dragon Quest Heroes 1&2 - great action game
Super Mario Odyssey - Mario at his best and brings back the feel of Mario64 and Sunshine
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - its a port with added content. hopefully it makes use of HD rumble.
Sonic 2017 -hopefully they get it right this time around (cautiously optimistic)
Fire Emblem Warriors - not sure when this comes out but there is a FE Direct on January 18
Splatoon 2 - This game looks great

This is nothing, but a biased click-bait article. The Switch has 3 titles worth getting out of everything they showed at their reveal. Most of their 3rd party support showed nothing. EA "We have FiFa." SEGA "Uumm.. yeah, were making games for the Switch". Bethesda "We have SkyRim coming. Sure we know it's a 3 year old game." Most of the 50 3rd party develops who want to make Switch games are going to "WAIT AND SEE". Why do you think they had nothing to show? Even several of Nintendo's 1st party games are just remasters from the Wii U. Super Mario Kart 8, Splatoon and even Zelda (which was a Wii U game first) are just remastered to play on the Switch. If the Switch could be B/C with the 3DS it would increase the library.
As for the Scorpio. we still don't know what else Microsoft has planned for 2017. We know more games are coming. Phil said there will be at least 17+ exclusives for XB1/Scorpio/PC this year.

They are only on one game console though and that's XBox. PC isn't a game console and without Microsoft, you can't play them on a PC. Games like Sunset Overdrive, Halo 5, Forza Horizon 2 still don't play on PC, unless you stream them off your XB1. Let me know when these games play on other game consoles that isn't the XBox brand.

Just my two cents:
Scorpio will propably be as close to a Windows PC as it gets.
They just announced Windows Game Mode. That's what will run on Scorpio too imo, since Microsoft is all about unifying their ecosystem right now. Scorpio will play everything PC including VR (as long as you buy from their Windows/Xbox store ...). No shortage of games anyway. But no traditional console with "exclusives" either.
It's the concept of a "Steam Box" just with windows on it.

No, but you have to understand that people like different things. From your perspective it might seem one way but to another person with different tastes it might appear very differently. This really is a lie, im no xbox fan but im pretty sure we dont know what the switches lineup for 2017 as its a very short list with only 1 exact release date zelda breath of the wild (1 2 switch doesnt count) and other games slated for summer and fall releases. I remember the last time nintendo gave me a 2015 fall release for zelda and how that turned out. Im willing to bet the third partys ALONE on the xb1 murders the other rehashes of games that are basically last gen games. If Mario and Xenoblade 2 release this year yes, hell considering XB1 doesn't have any real exclusives slated for 2017 it's not hard for Switch to beat it with Splatoon 2 and Arms, just as with Crackdown 3, Halo Wars and the other XBox Play Anywhere games aren't exclusives, MK8 is also not an exclusive because it's on another system.

XB1 will trump Switch when it comes to overall volume of games and Switch won't be getting the likes of Mass Effect, Red Dead, etc.

Technically they are, since they're on two different types of devices.
Iphone is a phone, iPad is a tablet, the thing is that those devices are a major source of revenue and profit for Apple before the company even looks at app sales, console platforms rely on exclusives to differentiate themselves and be an incentive to get people to buy into that ecosystem, phones and tablets don't, a model of each makes that company a decent profit from day one or it's dropped from the line-up once current stock is all shipped through.

The point of a console is to play games and if you're the market leader you're already the place to play multiplats, which isn't the case for Microsoft, Sony also happens to have the most exclusives, that makes them unique.

No amount of begging and pleading will make a multiplat an exclusive to that one device (be it XB1 or Switch in this instance).

Gears of War 4 is the first Gears game in 3 years, Halo 5 came out in 2015 and was the first game in 3 years, Halo Wars 2 is coming out this year but is a spinoff title of the main series (with Halo Wars 1 having come out in 2009.

Forza is the only one you can argue both ways. If you only play the Motorsport series (sim racer) then it comes out every two years; if you only play Horizon (arcade) then it comes out every two years. If you play both, however, then that is a yearly release, but even then they're very different franchises.

Okay I think as a halo fan you'll get this. Imagine there was no halo 1... halo5 which quite honestly are all the same game just graphics become better, one could argue that gameplay has gotten worst.

Instead of that Zelda is like the difference between halo and halo wars.

My bias is towards Nintendo games(the company itself has been pretty shitty), and Sony. But just look at gow1-3 it's the same game. So gow4 is different. And maybe gow is a better example. The changes between 3 and 4 would be the changes between each Zelda.

Also at least I've played both the games in question. Instead of spouting nonsense from someone who's clearly never really played Zelda.

I consider myself a console gamer. Had every console on the market since snes, except xbox 1. on pc (with and old 2gb gtx 660 which i just bought in early 2016) the one and only game i bought and play is gta 5 because of the mods.
but if in future there maybe will be xbox games i'm actually interested there will be no reason to spend money for an xbox console, where i have have to pay for xbox live in addition to ps plus on ps4, if i wanted to play online. I just put a new graphics card in my pc and that's it. Would be another case though if the games were true exclusives. They were the reasons why i bought og xbox(halo1) and 360(gears1).

At least 12 of those were awesome games cause those are the ones I played and I like them alot,(Killzone Shadowfall, Resogun(got platinum), Warframe, Black Flag(best AC imo), BF4(mp sucked! initially but the SP was great, so just to name a few I got), and for the haters yes I played Knack the game is just plain old school and not for noobs reason why mosts of people hate it, another game that is not for noobs is Killzone Shadowfall freaking stunning games but the ending didn't like it.

So what Nintendo has for the Switch ?, Zelda!!!! yay wii ....hmmm -_- , another cartoony Zelda yay,,. Long gone are the days were Zelda was awesome, last great Zelda was imo Ocarine of Time, hell even you Nintendo fans know this, same goes for Mario, Mario 64 was the best one, still I'm pretty sure you will have a blast with that only game for the switch, but theres no way in hell that lineup, lol "lineup" is better than the PS4 or even the xbone on launch date.

Yes, but like xbox, ppl will have to wait quite a while between big exclusives. The launch lineup is Zelda and nothing else. Then, a port of Mario Kart, and then the wait.The problem is that Switch is an exclusives machine, it won't have any meaningful 3rd party support so u better buy it as a secondary or 3rd console solely for its exclusives. However, asking $300 + 70 for a controller + 50 for an SD card and your looking at over $400. Hefty price for a 2nd or 3rd console that is only good for exclusives. Also, what happens in a dry year? Your console collects dust bc it has no 3rd party support. Look at 2016 for the Wii u. In a time where phones are commonly 1440p, consoles are running games at 4K, and VR is coming on strong i just see Nintendo's lack of technical prowess/specs as being a huge detriment.

In this day and age i don't think you can get away with living on ONLY exclusives AND being completely behind the curve technologically. Look at the Wii u.

During a time when MS continually gets bashed for relying on sequels from first party studios, Nintendo announces yet ANOTHER Zelda, ANOTHER Mario, ANOTHER Mario Kart (which is much the same from Wii U version but with Battle, a few new tracks and characters) and some wonky motion sensing games, and they are given numerous passes. Good point. But they're all gonna be very different games. How do I know that? Because it's Nintendo and they always deliver on originality, that's why their games are so good.
They're still the same game in appearance, same characters, world setting, but they're not really... Super Mario Galaxy is VERY different than Super Mario 3D World and you can be sure that Odyssey it's gonna be different to both.
Windwaker is very different than Skyward Sword, or Twilight princess...
There's nothing really in Gears of War 4 you couldn't find in GOW 3, it's a shooter... it's doing the same stuff all shooters do... slightly better graphics, that's it.
Forza 5, Forza 6, Horizon 2 and 3... even Xbox fanboys are complaining about this...

What a disaster for your current console to announce your next one so early and then not name it until 5 months it is out............ and then price it 2 months before launch. Its EXACTLY the way the Wii U was announced and launched.

And Zelda simply took almost 5 years to come to Wii U and they are porting that to Switch. Big deal. Would people have made as massive a deal if Microsoft had ported Halo 4 to Xbone at launch or Sony ported Gran Turismo 6 to PS4 at launch (with slightly improved visuals). No people would have said that they look okay but aren't true next gen looking titles (although Halo 4 running at, or almost at, native 1080p on Xbone sure would have given it a boost at launch lol).

Edit: I just realise in that Nintendo Nx announcement article I linked to, Nintendo actually claimed that "Nintendo, together with DeNA, will jointly develop a new membership service, which encompasses the existing Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, the new hardware with a brand new concept NX, smart devices and PCs"
