Mafia III Review - AngryJoe

Quote: Joe Clay came back from the War into the life of Mafia Crime! How does this sequel live up to the franchise and other Open World Games? Find out!

MasterCornholio2748d ago

ROFL

So funny how repetitive the missions are.

NXSwitch2748d ago

Game should be called No Mafia Land (No Man Sky).

xHeavYx2748d ago

Sorry dude, but no... Just no...

NXSwitch2747d ago (Edited 2747d ago )

Sorry dudette, but yes... just yes...

babadivad thats what your sis was saying to me last nyt.

NukaCola2748d ago

The trailer had me so pumped. I really was expecting this game to be special. Shame that this game is plagued with so many problems on top of being boring.

Meltic2747d ago

The gameplay is on Point. He moves like a true solider. THe animation is spot on, the story too, the driving to. The known problem is the AI

Aloy-Boyfriend2748d ago (Edited 2748d ago )

I'll wait for a sale
Thanks joe!

demonddel2748d ago

I just wanna drive around my city

NXSwitch2748d ago

Option

1. Get out the house & get in your car.
2. Play other open world car games.
3. Turn on your RC car.
4. All of the above.

babadivad2747d ago

Damn. 10 dislikes??
Well, I thought it was pretty funny.

What i find disappointing about all these reviews on Mafia 3 isnt that people mention how bad the game can be in some areas but how its only mentioned with Mafia. Ive put over 20hours into the game, havent finished it yet but im far enough in to know that the game is as repetitive as any other open world game. Where was all this negativity with Assassins Creed or GTA? How much variety did MGS5 have in its missions objectives? You dont see this fat moron shouting when he gets paid by Ubisoft to come over and play test their new Far Cry, which is one the most repetitive open world games out there.
Seems to me like these critics are angry they didnt get paid so for once they are actually upfront about their opnions.

kevnb2748d ago

or maybe some of those other games have a little more variety or are simply just more fun.

Red_Renegade2747d ago

it really does seem like some games get away with being repetitive cuz it has a big name, and some games are hated so much for the repetition that people can't even see the rest of the game.

Deacon_Razorblades2748d ago

I don't know where you've been but something that's been talked about consistently from the very first Assassins Creed game is the repetitiveness of the game. GTA makes up for the repetition with a good bit of clever creativity. MGS5 was also harped on for its repetitive nature, but like GTA, it curtailed that issue with creativity. It seems the problem with Mafia 3 is that the repetition is purely repetitive and not handled creatively. It seems to me that these critics are reporting on what is an inherent problem with this game.

Mafia 4 should have a retro 90s setting inspired by The Sopranos

Mafia 4 should reinvent the open-world crime game with a now-retro '90s setting like The Sopranos, just like Rockstar did with the '80s GTA: Vice City

It's been leaked that it'll be a prequel to Mafia 1

MadLad601d ago

Yeah.
I'd be happier that they didn't try to take it too modern.
Even when they did 3, all issues aside, but I liked the world and narrative they built around it. I just don't want to see them go past that era.

Iceball2000601d ago

The storie of Don Salieri? Or even Pauli or Sam

PhillyDillyDee601d ago

I hope it takes place in the 1890s. And its a western. And its not about the mafia. Why dont we have more high quality western games again?

Mafia: Definitive Edition's Classic Difficulty Aims To Recreate The Original Game's Experience

This difficulty will make driving more demanding and remove in-world navigation signs from the streets. Police will also be much more aggressive on Classic, with even driving a little over the speed limit causing them to come after you. Enemies are also far more aggressive and can deal more damage to you. They also don’t show up on the game’s minimap. Reloading will also forfeit any bullets you have in your clip, meaning you will need to pay attention to how much ammo you have left. There will also be a trophy for completing the game on this difficulty.

"There will also be a trophy for completing the game on this difficulty."

Nice.

Double_O_Revan1342d ago

Lol. I love how this setting is considered Difficult and gets a trophy. I thought all the little hurdles in the original made the game more realistic back in the day. Especially the breaking the laws on front of cops and losing bullets when reloading.

Only thing I will say that sucked in the original was that first race. F*** that race! F*** it so much!!

potatoseal1342d ago

LOL they say that race won't be as hard as it was. They say you'll get it with patience and practice hahaha. We'll see
