The Titanfall 2 Ultra System Requirements are Not for the Faint of Heart

Giant mechs can be very taxing on one's system by the looks of it.

All I am missing is the GTX 1080.

I also love when games claim to require an i7 to max at 4K, when most i5 can do the same (and they're much cheaper).

Psychotica2768d ago

Same here, I am just waiting for whatever the next card is (1080Ti?)

R6ex2768d ago

I'm waiting for Volta GV104. Currently rocking a GTX 1070.

Artemidorus2769d ago (Edited 2769d ago )

CPU – Intel Core i7-6700k or equivalent
RAM – 16GB
HDD Free Space – 45GB
GPU – NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1080 8GB

Pretty much confirms Playstation Pro / Xbox Prime will never achieve 4K with crisp graphics.

KakashiHotake2769d ago (Edited 2769d ago )

Yet, the NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1080 8GB alone cost 700 dollars compared to 400 dollars for the PS4 Pro console. That's not including the additional cost for all the rest of the components adding up well over $1200 and that's being modest. You PC guys are insane if you think people are looking to spend that much money just to play a video game. Most people don't even care about 4k gaming anyway. The package you're getting for PS4 Pro will satisfy most gamers needs all except for the most extreme with no life. Those are the ones that will spend all their money building a rig just to be able to say my version looks sharper than yours.

TheOptimist2769d ago (Edited 2769d ago )

We don't care about graphics at all. We care about games, and the games on PS4 don't interest us, otherwise we could have gotten PS4 for a fraction of the price we spend on gaming PCs, plus you gotta pay to play online. Yes there are some graphical enthusiast who like to play on 4K, 8K, 12K etc, but they are very few.

Artemidorus2769d ago

But 400 will not provide what 700 will.

Going to look alot better for the PC crowd

Ashby_JC2769d ago

I love when people make statements on what they think is the truth when its NOT.

I myself spent around $1300 range to build my gaming PC...specifically to GAME back in May.

Why because I can afford it and I wanted to experience PC gaming at some point in my life (43). I have been on consoles all my life so wanted to see what is was like to PC game and im liking it.

My opinion on PS4 Pro is...it will not perform 4K native EVER on a AAA game. It doesnt have the components to achieve it.

So the PS4 pro will NOT satisfy me or many others who want the PC gaming experience.

Psychotica2768d ago

Yeah I keep telling myself those things too except I do it with Ferrari's. Nobody really wants to drive a Ferrari anyway, those are just for people with no life.

Utalkin2me2768d ago (Edited 2768d ago )

@Artemidorus

400 is all you need to play it. 700 will get you a card and thats it. You can set and look at the card and wonder how awesome it would look if you had another 1500 to spend?

@Ashby_JC

They have already stated that it will have native 4k games and AAA. And they already gave a list of some games. Your 1300 dollar PC is not going to run 4k either.

KakashiHotake2768d ago

PC is and always will be a niche market. The average consumer isn't looking to spend 1000s on hardware just so a game can look extra pretty when you can buy a console that will do exactly the same thing for 400 bucks. And not everyone is broke either. I myself can afford a gaming PC if I chose but I presonally feel it's a waste of money that is better utilized in other areas in my life. Having said that if you do have the bread for it and that's your hobby more power to you. it's your hard earned money to spend as you please, but don't go talking down about consoles because apparently it's not for you anyway.

Captain_Tom2768d ago

I was on your side until you started throwing out insults.

Look buddy. The PS4 Pro costs $400, which is a phenomenal deal for the performance you get. But right now I can build something for $1000 that is twice as strong, and in a few years (If I want to, I don't have to) I can add a new GPU that will make it 4-6x stronger.

$1000 isn't anything to scoff at, but even someone in high school with a summer job can afford quite a nice gaming PC that will last a very long time - not to mention someone like me with a decent job who can more than afford this. And here's the thing buddy, if you play video games even 10 hours a week - why not make it a substantially better experience? Make something you enjoy more enjoyable!

KakashiHotake2768d ago

Captain_Tom, It wasn't my intention to insult anyone and i apologize if I said something that was out of line. All I'm trying to say is I dont think there's anything wrong with building a PC if you have the cash, but what gets to me is sometimes PC gamers belittle console gamers because they either can't afford it or don't want to spend that kind of money on a gaming PC.

FinalFantasyFanatic2768d ago

I have the money to do high end gaming on PC and I just found it too problematic (I blame the developers for this one). Console gaming is just easier because I'm less likely to have to wait for a patch to play the game and it's less likely to break on console (for obvious reasons since developing for consoles is easier than PC hardware).

Jaegar2769d ago

It doesn't really have to. I mean common sense, the PS4 Pro as a whole costs $400 and the GTX 1080 is $700 alone.

TheOptimist2768d ago (Edited 2768d ago )

And you don't need more than a GTX 970 or GTX 1060 to get much better performance levels than a PS4 Pro.

SlightlyRetarted2769d ago

I would rather have 144hz than 4K.

Ashby_JC2769d ago

I recently got a new monitor and chose 144hz over 1440 res. I wanted a smoother experience especially being that my rig was getting over 120 FPS easily on most games.

I do want to see what 4K looks like on a monitor hooked up to my system. But I dont want 4K if I have to sacrifice other things especially FPS.

Companies I feel are going down the wrong path in thinking that all people want is 4K games. I have a feeling that is what console games are going to be with the sacrifice being the FPS and the game as a whole...just to achieve better resolution.

I look at some of the games on PC that are highly rated and many of them are not even grpahical power houses....like The Witness, etc.

Utalkin2me2768d ago (Edited 2768d ago )

@Ashby_JC

What you mean to say your 1300 dollar rig was easily getting 120 fps at medium settings on most games. Your not running highest settings getting a constant 120 fps on most games. When i have a 980 gtx with a I7 4770k overclocked to 4.3 with 16G of corsair vengeance and with a asus z87 expert MB, and it wont even do it. Unless youre talking about games like CS and stuff like that. But you wouldn't come close to that like the Witcher 3 or the new Tombraider game or GTV5 or even Overwatch for that matter.

Never say never, I really didn't expect to ever see Space Marine 2 and 12 years later its almost here.
So there is still hope for all these games.

Chocoburger74d ago

I've completed 5 of the games on the list, but the author forgot to include Advent Rising. It was supposed to be a trilogy, but it bombed hard, and the two sequels never got made. It was Mass Effect, a console generation before Mass Effect.

The game is buggy and unpolished, it needed a few more months of development, but the potential was there. At the end of the game, you have all these super abilities, I remember the stomp attack that created a shockwave being especially powerful.

shinoff218374d ago

I personally think days gone will recieve some sort of sequel at some point. I'm personally also hoping it's not the rumored multiplayer online stuff. I'd think most that enjoyed it would rather thisnto.

Knightofelemia73d ago

Sony needs to dust off Sly Cooper and Days Gone so needs a sequel two of my favorite Sony titles. Bulletstorm I love great game wish it also got a sequel. And I wish Namco would finally give Enslaved a sequel another great game.

Titanfall 2 Gets "???" New Mystery Mode Years After Release

A new Titanfall 2 mystery game mode called "???" added by Respawn has players buzzing with anticipation since it seems to hint at something.

Inverno217d ago

Apex mode where it deletes Titanfall 2 and turns it in to Apex so your last hopes of a sequel will be crushed for good.

raWfodog216d ago

LOL!! That’s exactly what they did. I’ve never played Apex. Is it good? It doesn’t look better than TF2 to me.

FinalFantasyFanatic216d ago

It's about par with any other team based shooter like Valorant or Fortnite, it's probably more of a mix of Valorant and PUBG if you want to know what game play is like. I'd rather have Titanfall 2 though, it's more fun for me than battle royale games.
