Hello Games Confirm Work on No Mans Sky Content Patch

Paul Weir, Audio Designer from Hello Games has confirmed that they are now working on a content patch for the PC and PS4 release of their exploration game No Mans Sky.

They should really add multiplayer. It will surelly breath new life into this game.

It could be interesting. Imagine flying across the galaxy and finding a planet that another player had built a rudimentary house on. Or you come across a little township of players, who've formed a guild. Can't see them heading in that direction, fingers crossed though.

Multiplayer seems impossible to me, they've built every underlying gameplay system around single player interaction. Sure they could change the base code but that would take months to say the least.

I'd rather just have some improvements on the gameplay loop like quests/bounties, weekly missions, random encounters as well as more variety when it comes to outposts on planets. The game itself is fine, but spending time in it needs to be rewarding in some way.

That's almost what was originally expecting (if even to a lesser degree) but then it was released.

There's so much potential and I really held on to wanting to like this game but even I am coming to terms with the fact that it isn't what I hoped and it feels incomplete. A lot of missed opportunities

There is a story, more then one but there just to short and to hard to find. For most people.

That would be cool, and they wouldnt have to do much except create a 4th alien race, well one that looks similar to that slime stuff on abandoned outpost terminals, make a story about it spreading throughtout the universe, or have players keep the infestation at bay, and not completely erraticate it.

Similar to Warframes infestation, give missions that are specific to the other 3 aliens.

Vykeens-would require you to kill X amount of infestation, and take out a boss either on land, air, or sea.

Gek- harvest items from super extreme planets that are infested, to sell to them. Like killing hoards of "infected", more valuable items are closer to the planets core.

Korvac- Similar to Gek, but you have to capture infested creatures or the creature(s) causing the infestation dead(lesser reward) or alive (more reward), and bring it to your freighter, and transport it to the nearest korvax science station(not necessarily found within the same solar system)

I have more to add, but its more inline with what i already said.

Then just add a multiplayer feature, like 8player coop agaisnt procedurally generated creatures of varying sizes, and the base building would be important as a means of a check point to harvest resources while others protect the ohlthers from oncoming enemies/infested(Like Star Shiptroopers style)

although i no longer play this game, i still think it has some of the most potential of any game in the past few years. they're not gonna add everything that people want, but i'm hoping they can turn this into something great in the next few years. the leaunch price point and over-marketing really killed this game.

Okay. I know NMS did NOT live up to expectations, like at all. I think part of this is due to Sony rushing them out the door for release. However, all things being said, I give them credit for working hard non-stop since its release to patch the buggy mess and rapidly try to create new content - it's tough for a small dev team like theirs. I think the game would have been much better with an additional year of development, had they not been rushed.
