Wow, the hype is real. This will move so many more wii U consoles.

edit: I just made a sarcastic face.

You forgot to put a sarcastic face after your comment.

Hoffmann2791d ago

Hmmm I will edit the comment to fix this problem

I'd get excited if it were an HD remaster of SS.

But I know it's just a direct port of the Wii game... 480p... woo.

_-EDMIX-_2791d ago

Agreed.

Called this would happen a long time ago. Nintendo has a history of porting titles, this should come to no surprise to anyone. Called Zelda Wii U was coming to NX, called this was coming to Wii U.

RosweeSon2791d ago

Still got my disc so yeah wasted on me

kainslayer2791d ago

there is always doplphin emulator ;-p

ShadowKnight2791d ago (Edited 2791d ago )

I've been trying to get them to release and remaster this game for years. My wish has come true!!!!!🙌💃

I don't see it in the Wii u store yet? Did anyone buy it yet? I'm in US

That milk has gone stell

deafdani2790d ago (Edited 2790d ago )

It's not a remaster, it's the Wii game as it was released years ago.

Still a pretty good game, if you can put up with the ridiculous hand holding (the worst in the series). That, and Fi is the worst companion that ever disgraced a Zelda game. People talk too much shit about Navi, but she doesn't come anywhere close to the maddening stupidity of Fi's attention grabbing.

On the flipside, this game has the best story, best narrative, best lore and best characters of all the Zelda games, some with pretty good character evolution (Groose ftw). So, it's pretty worth it. The last third of the game is pretty amazing, too.

If it's playable with the gamepad or pro controller then this would be great. The motion controls was one of the things which really spoilt the game for me

MilkMan2791d ago

Id like to know this also.

Bahamut2791d ago

The motion controls are actually good in SS though. I can't picture using some of the items in the game without it.

-Foxtrot2791d ago

Forced motion controls are never a good thing to put onto a consumer.

But like I said to be fair it was one of a few problems I had.

WildArmed2791d ago

Yeah, SS had pretty good motion controls.

Intranquill2791d ago

Neckbeards? Wanting to play a game with a traditional controller, like they have been played for decades, is now considered a "neckbeard" thing to want? Lol ok guy.

The 10th Rider2791d ago

Yeah, I honestly didn't like the motion controls in SS, but they worked and I wouldn't want them to release the game without them.

And really? "Forced motion controls are never a good thing to put onto a consumer." There's plenty of good games where the motion controls are essential and make the game. Wii Sports, of course, wouldn't be any fun without motion controls, Red Steel 2 was a blast with motion controls, Wii Sports Resort. No More Heroes. . . I get that you don't want motion controls in a mainline Zelda game, but to say motion controls are never a good thing is just ignorant.

Bahamut2791d ago

@Intranquil

It goes with the laziness thing. If they don't want to move their arms around, then they probably won't want to bother to shave either. Also I picture them wearing tophats.

ChickeyCantor2790d ago

> Forced motion controls are never a good thing to put onto a consumer.

It's a game designed around motion controls. If it was forced it would have been tacked on as a last minute decision.

The motion controls are why I didn't own a Wii, I absolutely hated using them every time I tried them out. Same thing happened with the Wii U... although this time I bought the console I sold it because I hated the controller.

Bahamut2791d ago (Edited 2791d ago )

Buncha lazy fuckers you guys are, rofl.

Neckbeard: "I don't like moving my arms around and stuff"

I absolutely loved Skyward Sword, definitely a contender for best Zelda ever, right next to Ocarina. The controls were different, but I didn't feel it took anything at all out of the game, if anything it added even more. The motion was accurate as hell, the items were really fun and interesting to use, and that's good because the whole game relies on these items in order to solve the puzzles and temples in the game. The game relies on motion controls. It wouldn't be the same game without it. For those of you who don't like to swing your flabby arms, quit whining, burn some calories for once. For those of you who just don't have the living space to play a game like that, that actually sucks, sorry to hear that.

-Foxtrot2791d ago

@Bahamut

It's the worst main Zelda game

The forced motion controls

The lack of freedom

Overworld is very linear

The repetitiveness

Side missions are pretty bad and annoying

Stop dishing out personal attacks because people didn't like the motion controls, I hate people who go on the offence like that because they want to try and defend something. This has nothing to do with us being "lazy", it's the fact that nobody likes motion controls, especially at the time when people stopped caring for them. Being forced to play a game in a certain way is not consumer friendly, not matter if you liked it or not.

It's the worst main Zelda game period. Ocarina, Majoras Mask, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess were better in every way.

EddieNX 2791d ago

@foxtrot that's just your opinion bud. Skyward sword is one of the best games i've ever played and the motion controlls are flawless and properly immersive.

Darkfist_Flames2791d ago

Forced motion controls and the boring fly gameplay(which many people hyped about with the trailers)

Bahamut2791d ago (Edited 2791d ago )

The fly gameplay was just alright but the swordplay and items were fun as hell. I really liked using the whip, had a lot of fun with that one.

meganick2791d ago

I think the people who didn't like the motion controls were probably exaggerating their motions too much and moving too quickly. If you limit your range of motion (particularly for sword swings) and get the timing down then the controls worked quite well.

RosweeSon2791d ago

If they had the energy to move their arms that much at all, sure I love traditional controls and no I don't wanna be dancing, prancing swinging and a swaying about but if the games good enough step back watch your face cos I'm slashing the Wii remote around, Mario Galaxy was no pun intended out of this world I don't really see why everyone moaned so much 95% was still on the traditional Stick and buttons anyway. Seriously great game tho 2 was good but for sheer originality and inventiveness Galaxy 1 smashed it, Skyward sword was also great heard Resi 4 was cool but didn't wanna do it again and Metroid prime trilogy with motion controls is meant to be fantastic I heard best FPS' ever being shouted about when it came out sure I'll get round to it on my Wii u some point.

RosweeSon2791d ago (Edited 2791d ago )

It was only forced upon yourself as your so unwilling for change be it for the better or worse motion controls were fine it was built from the start with motion controls. A bad workman always blames his tools. Thing is you can with nintendo and never have been able to even as far back as Mario 1 if you die 99% of the time is not because the games glitched or stiched you up its because your not up to the task. Sure I'm not a massive fan of motion controls but when done as well as they were in skyward and Mario Galaxy absolutely fine. Worst main Zelda game... Nothing is beating Zelda 2 anytime soon sure it's ok but compared to any other main game in the series it's utter dribble even number 1 was MUCH better the series just gets better and better and that's because it's Nintendo it's what they do, innovative, original and all around top notch on the games sure they are still stuck in the late 90's sure they do things their way or the highway but when it's the quality it is always got time for it.

Metallox2791d ago

Come on, Foxtrot. If there's a Wii game that requires the motion controls is Skyward Sword. Obviously this re-release doesn't support traditional controllers.

deafdani2790d ago

It's the Wii game as it was released years ago. Motion controls and all, no Gamepad at all.

I'm 50/50 on the motion controls on this game. It was amazing for some stuff, like sword fighting, and incredibly stupid for others, like swimming. Ugh. They just went overboard with the motions, they should've just normal buttons for some things and motion for others, not force motions on everything.

Still a pretty damn good game, especially because of its story, lore and characters. All of these are cool as fuck. :)

Ohmei2790d ago

Yeah, same here. I'm disabled, so I'd love an option to use a gamepad for SS.

Quite the predicament either get this game now or wait for the NX reveal & see if I want the NX & get this on the NX as Im not buying this twice

MilkMan2791d ago

Is NX backwards compatible? I thought it wasn't. ITs all new content for the NX.

RosweeSon2791d ago

They'll have plenty of new content for sure but they won't abandon the VC.

Cheezeman30002790d ago

That's why he's not sure if he should wait or not, because if he buys it on Wii U he may have to rebuy it on the NX.

SCW19822791d ago

I think you might be confusing your Zelda's bruh.

_-EDMIX-_2791d ago

Well its likely coming to NX too as a port anyway. MOST console Zeldas get ported......this isn't really news, I'm not even sure why Nintendo fans seem to forget simple history.

RosweeSon2791d ago

Nintendo hopefully and this is real wishful thinking but I'm hoping they will actually go you know what we're doing cross buy now or at the very least go look if you've just got it on Wii U and it's now on NX it's yours, would make all Wii U owners happy surely and new customers will just get on makes no difference, however they did deals on all my previously purchased Wii VC games for Wii U between 99p and £1.49 normally to get the Wii U version it's hardly life changing money not like I've got to buy it again and it's not like the games even cost anywhere near what they did back in the day £40 each, £30 second hand unboxed haha. These digital versions are barely 10-20% of original cost try tracking down some of these titles for the price they charge digital, mega man 1-2 clear £40-80 now unboxed with a box your looking triple figures.

DiscoMan2791d ago

Control scheme is very important.

overrated442791d ago

The entirety of the combat was centered around motion controls, there's no way you can play this game without a Wiimote.

AMD has long been the best value option if you're looking for a new GPU. Now even their latest Radeon RX 7000 series is getting cheaper.

Father__Merrin1d 8h ago

Best for the money is the Arc cards

just_looken1d 7h ago

In the past yes but last gen amd has gotten cheaper and there new cards are on the horizon making 6k even cheaper.

The arc cards are no longer made by intel but asus/asrock has some the next line battlemage is coming out prices tbd.

Do to the longer software development its always best to go amd over intel if its not to much more money even though intel is a strong gpu i own 2/4 card versions.
