Left out arguably the most anticipated exclusive, Horizon. But yes, I agree with all except for NMS.

magiciandudeII2831d ago

Except for God of War, incredible is a bit of a stretch for these games. Where is Horizon!?

OB1Biker2831d ago

agreed for Horizon but you may need check again Days Gone

NotanotherReboot2831d ago

Gran Turismo doesn't look incredible, neither does Last Guardian.

ShadowKnight2831d ago

Shadow of the Colossus didn't look that great either but it was a fantastic game

NotanotherReboot2831d ago

Umm yes it did? SOTC pushed the PS2 to its limits, it was an incredible game. Last guardian looks underwhelming, a step down in terms of scale, variety and sheer grandness compared to SOTC.

IRetrouk2831d ago

Gt sport looks great, what are you on about? Also sotc didnt push ps2 to its limits at all, there were many many better looking games both before and after sotc released. Its my num 1 game of all time but it was never considered to be pushing the ps2 at the time or now.

DarXyde2831d ago

You DON'T think Shadow of the Colossus pushed PS2 to its limit? I'd have to disagree.

It was a great looking and incredible game that ran pretty poorly on its debut hardware. It's not all about graphics. You need to consider the visual fidelity, open world, intense physics calculations (and it was definitely physics intensive for its time), and the fact that the game had some great lighting considering the hardware.

There are better looking games on PS2, but they didn't have as much going on in the grand scheme of things. Sure, the game had fewer enemies on screen than virtually every game, but the Colossi are incredibly detailed and more physically intensive than other games. And considering the lack of loading times, it basically loads all of them simultaneously to be fought when you get to them. The poor AA which resulted in a graphically worse title than its predecessor Ico pretty much confirms it's just a bigger, more demanding game and I think in terms of pushing the PS2, it definitely did.

NotanotherReboot2831d ago

@ Darxyde. Spot on. These people obviously lack an understanding of what "pushed the PS2 to its limits" actually means; it's not just about "da gwaficks"

IRetrouk2830d ago

Gta, tekken, gt, the jak games, the ratchet games, god of war, are just a few of the games that pushed the ps2 to the limit, sotc was not one of those games, yes it was open world but it was quite bland, nothing to really do but go to the next area to fight the next boss, yes the actual fights were impresive but you must not remember the game too well to claim there were no load times, every area you went into had a scene play showing you the beast before you could actually interact with it. That right there was loading.

Depends on ones subjective definition of incredible, sorry but you dont get to define it.

ShadowKnight2831d ago

Last time I checked it got great reviews and I enjoyed it.

Kingthrash3602831d ago

Nobodys definition of incredible is credible. Some people think trump is incredible, while that is incredible to think people think hes incredible me thinking he is the opposite of incredible isn't credible to thos who believe he is incredible.
No matter how you spin it, your incredible isn't credible to anyone but you and the ones who share the same views.

Callediceman2831d ago

I have to agree. I have a PS4 and an Xbone and Gran Turismo needs to show some crazy awesome footage before I will say it looks epic. And I dont want a demo to make me happy for 2 years. (Please GT make me a believer again.)

Shubhendu_Singh2831d ago

Gran Turismo looks amazing. It didn't in the first reveal, but the E3 build was way way better graphically and was what I had hoped.

Though I am still on fence with TLG. And N4G hates everybody who says they will wait for reviews on TLG before buying. (because I got destroyed last time I said these exact words - 2 times)

Christopher2829d ago (Edited 2829d ago )

Frinker: "GT and TLG don't look incredible"

ShadowKnight: "SoC didn't look good either"

Frinker: "Yes it did, pushed the PS2 to its limits"

Frinker: "People lack understanding, [SoC] was not just about graphics"

Wait... what? How can SoC be not just about graphics, but TLG and GT can't be? And how do you flip from talking about the graphics of two new games, to a comparison to an old one, and then make it not about graphics?

I don't really care what the games look like, I'm not invested in them, but your stream of conversation here seems misguided.

No Man's Sky isn't a PS4 exclusive, though.

Goldby2831d ago

And Forza Horizon 3 isnt an xbox one exclusive i guess too.

DragonDDark2831d ago

That's correct. Which is why a lot of people are saying Xbox One has no exclusives.

Valenka2831d ago

That's true. I mean, you could go as far as calling it a "Microsoft exclusive," if you really wanted to, but FH3 is no more an Xbox exclusive than No Man's Sky is a PS4 exclusive.

NukaCola2831d ago

Xbox or Xbox One exclusive? Or W10 Game makes it multiplat?

leoms2831d ago

Yeah, it seems the author made a mistake. Should have replaced by nioh or Horizon
