Man Turns Himself In Accidently After Walking to Police Station Pokestop

In what seemed like a regular occurrence, a Detroit man visited a police station which happened to be a Pokestop to claim some goodies for Pokemon Go. In what was an irregular occurrence, however, this 26-year-old man had a warrant out for his arrest. The man, charged with breaking and entering, was arrested after being recognized by police.

Between this story and the one where a guy was caught cheating because he was dumb enough to catch a Zubat or something outside of his ex's house, I'm going to have to assume a lot of Americans aren't very smart. Granted I'm sure when the app releases officially in Canada we'll probably have a lot of stories of stupidity too. There are probably one or two floating around of Canadians who have the app illegally right now.

Something kinda similar happened here in Kuwait, some guy was going back and forth in a police stations parking lot xD the police approached him and asked him what he was doing, he simply replied "I'm trying to catch a Pokemon"

No warrant though, just an awkward af conversation with the police, lol.

It's crazy how big this thing is getting, what's weird is that a lot of people who have no prior interest in Pokemon are playing it too.

I hear ya, so many of my adult friends have become 5yr olds. I just cant bring myself to even try it, it just seems so... Shallow, so... Meh.

I get people love it, I just don't feel the same. To many better things to do in life than hang around parking lots, memorials and apartment blocks trying to wave my mobile at a pokemon.

Might try it with hololens, if and when. But I don't feel any draw to this particular mobile version.

Shallow? Having imaginary play in the real world is not shallow. The adults who have lost their imaginary functions from their childhood from my experience are the shallow ones and are harder to form friendships with.

Play is important for both adults and kids.

And yes there is better things to do in life. But there is only so many manga and anime too watch ;)
