Game play looked interesting, but I've been hurt by Ubi before...

mad-dog2864d ago

Go with your gut-feeling. The irrational Ubi hate is for sheeps. Ubi got the message and moved on.

InMyOpinion2863d ago (Edited 2863d ago )

I loved Ghost Recon Future Soldier 1&2 so I'm hyped about this game also. I even had the Ghost Recon 360 controller (which was awesome!) - https://www.estarland.com/i...

The demo on their E3 conference was a bit underwhelming though. Hopefully the full game is better than what was shown there.

Agreed I enjoyed all the ghost recons..

It's another game that going to follow the same old Ubisoft formula like it has done for the past God knows how many years

Open world
Average campaign
Millions of side missions (all consisting of about 4 activities)
Collectables (to make the game seem longer)
Make sure it plays the same as Far Cry, AC, The Divison, Watchdogs.

Ubisoft have literally zero creativity lately outside of Rayman and them 2D side scrollers that I can't remember the name of off the top of my head

Psychotica2863d ago

Not sure what else there is to do in an open world besides a million side missions and collectables. I mean it would be a little out of place if you could go on these missions then go bowling with your cousin afterwards.

xander707692863d ago

And that doesn't bother me at all. I don't understand the obsession with 100% of games needing to be completely new and innovative. Sometimes I just want to play something that improves on previous formulas that I already know I like. I'm giving Ubi a chance on this, I really liked the previous ghost recon games.

ThePope2863d ago

When you play SP will you play it tactical like the first 2 or will your teammates just be there? I've yet to figure this out

iceman062863d ago

They've stated that your AI teammates will be there and stay "out of the way" until you engage in combat. They also said that you can command them (I'm assuming in the same way as previous Ghost Recon games).

zerocarnage2863d ago (Edited 2863d ago )

Speak for yourself, I'm looking forward to it. God Damn critics, reviewers and one minded drones who listen. Give games a damn chance ffs instead of pulling everything to bits and trying to lure the drones who can't think for themselfs into hating on what you obviously have already decided to crap on.

My preference I'll choose, I enjoy Clancy and ubi games. I wished they'd bring endwars back..

MilkMan2863d ago

I love Ghost Recon, I love Ubi for various reasons even though they've done some weird things in the past.
But this new Ghost R, just doesn't seem to jive with me. I wouldn't mind the open world, sandbox approach if I knew I could solo this thing and from the looks of it, you cannot. Took 4 dudes to bring down the assailant in the demo. I want to see how this plays out solo.

Psychotica2863d ago

You can solo with 3 AI teammates.

theshredded2863d ago (Edited 2863d ago )

Wish Rainbow Six Siege was better and had a campaign instead of having another coop far cry like game

ScorpiusX2863d ago (Edited 2863d ago )

Maybe they should have continued with Patriot instead of Siege .

Microsoft should have left them stay 3rd party

GamerRN3h ago

If they are let go, they can be whatever they want. They ARE 3rd party now... 🤦

Barlos1h ago

Yeah, they're also jobless.

PassNextquestion6h ago(Edited 6h ago)

Bethesda France was made up of roughly 15 people... they couldn't of being doing much

Bethesda France mainly did publishing and marketing within the region

blacktiger3h ago

that's a shame for you to say that, i'm sure Elite loves hearing what you just said.

Profchaos6h ago(Edited 6h ago)

Bethesda France focused on publishing and marketing in the region. And 15 people lost their jobs as part of the closure.

I wonder if this is part of Microsoft's strategy to abandoned physical media or possibly gamepass advertising makes their roles redundant you don't need to market a game as hard when the majority of players get the game as part of a sub which already promoted upcoming games

Tacoboto5h ago

It's France too, there's a high likelihood only 1-2 people on the team even had an Xbox.

Profchaos5h ago

Possibly guven all the leaks we know the Xbox brand is really struggling in the region.

Yi-Long2h ago

Well, if your consoles and games are barely found in any stores any more, of course you're gonna struggle finding consumers ...

XiNatsuDragnel4h ago

Tbh Microsoft I think Bethesda being 3rd party same with Activision would probably more competitive than thus scenario imo

Profchaos3h ago(Edited 3h ago)

I think it would have been better for all parties really especially gamers

TheColbertinator3h ago

The recently purchased Activision French offices might take over all the licensing and marketing for Microsoft in France from now on.

I’m Glad Atlus & SE Changed Dates To Avoid Competing With Shadow Of The Erdtree

Saad from eXputer: "I'm glad I don't have to choose between Square Enix, Atlus, and FromSoftware due to bad release windows and Shadow of the Erdtree."

H91d ago

More intelligent than guerilla games

raWfodog6h ago(Edited 6h ago)

Atlus is releasing their game one week before Erdtree, SE is releasing theirs one week after.

HZD released four days before Zelda, HFW released one week before Elden Ring.

It seems to me like they are still releasing their games too close to Erdtree.

Sony Could Increase Your Game's Difficulty If It Sees You Complain About It

Sony has recently published a new patent that wants to dynamically handle the games' difficulty and gameplay based on the player's emotions.

jznrpg7h ago

This is something I might use. Sometimes I play some good games but they don’t have difficulty option and are a little too easy.

Profchaos6h ago

Souls games will be like that players struggling make it harder

PassNextquestion5h ago(Edited 5h ago)

I think if used correctly it could work well

jambola2h ago

cool idea
cool idea for horror games especially
the way it's explained here sounds like it could never be forced hopefully, so that's ok with me
