Sora Will Become The King of Kingdom Hearts?

"If there’s one thing that’s truly immersive about the Kingdom Hearts series is mystery. Despite countless installments we still feel like there’s very little we know. One of the bigger mysteries is surrounding the actual Kingdom Hearts. What we know is that it’s the source of all power and wisdom and one true gate that connects all hearts. What if it’s more? I mean, what if it’s actually a world and what if Sora would become the ruler of such power? "

He better, it's awful what they did to him in Dream Drop Distance

It was such a kick in the balls to Sora after every god damn thing he's done for everyone.

RashBandicoot2855d ago

I always felt DDD was more about Riku and his redemption. It was the first time Riku felt like he did something "good" by helping Sora and becoming a Keyblade master.

-Foxtrot2855d ago

"by helping Sora and becoming a Keyblade master"

While Sora is left with nothing despite him deserving it more. How many times has Rikku been lost, gave into the darkness or had to be helped.

ninsigma2854d ago

Yeah I'll have to play all the remixes before the 3rd one releases xD

ninsigma2855d ago

OK I clearly need to play DDD again because I haven't a clue what you mean by that lol
Story is so convoluted I forget most of it that's not part of 1 and 2.

RashBandicoot2855d ago

Well the HD remix is coming so there's your chance lol

-Foxtrot2855d ago

Ok I'll try and break this down so I'm not ranting...as much

Sora was a young kid who wasn't supposed to even see a keyblade never mind wield one...but he did.

The Keyblade only chose him because it's original owner, Rikku, gave into the darkness

Rikku gave into the darkness like STRAIGHT AWAY. No fighting it, he embraced it completely.

Sora managed to have enough strength to turn from a heartless back into his original self

Rikku kept on giving in and lost his heart completely

Sora despite his inexperience and the fact he was basically the Keyblades sloppy seconds saved the entire Universe in the first game

Sora then defeated some of Organization 13 in Chain of Memories.

Sora then saved the entire Universe AGAIN in Kingdom Hearts II

Rikku while recovering just spent the time trying to be redeemed while Sora blitzed past him.

HOWEVER...despite EVERYTHING Sora has done in the past it just so happens that when the kid finally makes a mistake, like we all do at one point and Rikku has to go and save him in Dream Drop Distance Yen Sid decides that Sora has failed the entire exam.

Rikku becomes a Keyblade Master. Sora doesn't. I mean what the hell.

Think of all the times Rikku has f**** up and all the times Sora has saved the day, saving the entire Universe twice over. You'd think Yen Sid could have let it slide but no no..."Thanks for everything you've done buuuuuut you failed".

It's just a kick in the balls to Sora to be honest and all DDD tried to do was make us like Rikku more, but for me it had the exact opposite I hate him more. He should have died in Kingdom Hearts. He doesn't deserve it "redemption" or not.

I don't know about you but if I was himI would have bitch slapped the magic right out of him and shoved one of those walking brooms down his throat while it's still moving.

...

(Ahem)

You know...if that was me

ninsigma2854d ago

Jesus, I remember everything but the mistake he made xD
I'll definitely have to pick up 2.8 and play it again!

rezzah2852d ago

Regardless of Sora's actions Riku was always the chosen one.

KH3 will be the last game that will feature Sora as the main character, his story will end here. Because of this I hope something far greater than being a Keyblade Master will be bestowed upon him, basically what the title says.

-Foxtrot2852d ago

He was the chosen one...he messed up and Sora become the new chosen one.

The keyblade didn't choose it's master, Terra was the one in Birth by Sleep to pass it onto him while Aqua looked at Sora but Terra didn't believe he was strong enough

He was wrong.

I don't know, but whatever happens it will be convoluted and you won't have any idea whats going on unless you've played all the previous games. Also you will do lame things in lame Disney character themed areas.

r3f1cul2853d ago

we have to wait for this damn thing to come out first... which seems like is going to be never .... seriously not even an honorable mention at e3? wtf man

Antnee5342853d ago

I feel like in winter they will announce a q4 2017 release date.

RashBandicoot2853d ago

They mentioned in the 2.8 trailer that we should expect news this Winter. Hopefully it comes out next year.

Final Fantasy XVI Has Finally Given Donald Duck A Worthy Opponent

For a long time, it's been widely accepted amongst Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts fans that Donald Duck is the most powerful mage ever to exist, mainly due to his use of the stupidly powerful Zettaflare spell towards the end of Kingdom Hearts 3. This spell is one step up from Teraflare, a spell which was used in Final Fantasy XIV that was so powerful that it completely wiped out the base game, giving the developers a canonical reason to let them bin everything and start again from scratch.

Now you're armed with this information, you can see how it was pretty surprising for Donald Duck of all characters to bust out Zettaflare and establish himself as the most powerful character in Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts lore. However, now that Final Fantasy XVI has arrived and delivered a whole new cast of characters, a new challenger has arrived to provide Donald with some much needed competition.

Final Fantasy's Strongest Canonical Magic User Is... Donald Duck?

Final Fantasy features many strong characters, but an unlikely character from Kingdom Hearts is able to cast the most powerful spell ever seen

gold_drake341d ago

Final Fantasy's strongest magic user is Donald Duck, who never appears in a final fantasy game.

This Kingdom Hearts Boss' Unpredictability Gave Me Sekiro Vibes

Kingdom Hearts is filled with otherworldly boss battles, but only one stands out like a phoenix dancing with ethereal grace across the night sky. Before we embark upon a discussion concerning Kingdom Hearts' exceptional boss battles, it may be prudent to first reflect on the evolution of the criteria for appraising video game bosses. This criterion has undergone a major metamorphosis over the past decade; one that owes much to the profound influence of From Software and its iconic Souls series.

"Yozora is much more than a grueling secret encounter; he is a reflection of what Kingdom Hearts' bosses should be"

No thank you. If every boss in Kingdom Hearts was like Yozora, the series would be unplayable. That's not to say that they shouldn't include such challenges, but making them fundamental to the game would be too much. And don't say that this is what the From Software games are, because Yozora is absolutely harder than most of the bosses in those games. He is waaay faster, has a ludicrous number of abilities (and does them in random order AND can chain most of them together), and punishes you severely if you make a mistake. On top of that, you have to survive this onslaught for a really long time because of how much health he has. It's borderline too much - for me at least. Still, it's a stunning battle.

OMNlPOTENT352d ago

I agree, while I do really enjoy the Yozora fight, I think it's far too difficult to be anything more than an optional boss. However, I do believe that there should be more bosses that are in the same weight and size class as Sora, as the majority of those in KH3 were the best fights. The giant heartless bosses just aren't as enjoyable.
