Whoa 2016 will be among the years we will remember. This is the year of war between companies instead of consumers. Microsoft’s Windows has always been home to a PC Gamer. Here are 3 Ways How Microsoft’s Huge Ecosystem of Xbox & PC Gamers are in a dominating situation right now!
Workers at Sega of America, a division of Sega Sammy Holdings Inc., have became the first employees at a major North American video-game company to ratify a union contract, a move that may accelerate a burgeoning labor movement in an industry known for widespread instability among its work force.
The contract, ratified Tuesday, covers around 150 people across marketing and other departments at the division’s offices in Southern California. Workers will receive minimum yearly pay increases of 4% in 2024, 3% in 2025 and 2.5% in 2026 as well as a number of other benefits, Catalina Brennan-Gatica, a representative for the Communications Workers of America, said in an interview.

Worst thing that will happen is it will have a lower stock price and ceos won't get extra millions they don't really need. Other than that the company will continue on and ppl will be treated better.
GamesIndustry.biz writes: "Relic is best known for the Company of Heroes and Dawn of War games, and recently developed the new Age of Empires for Microsoft. Relic will transition to an independent studio and will no-longer be part of the Sega group of studios.
The majority of the 240 job cuts are across Creative Assembly and Sega Europe, while there will be a ‘small number’ cut from Sega HARDLight. There was no mention of other Sega UK studios, including Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive."
Gearbox Entertainment has been purchased by Take-Two from Embracer Group.
Good as it should have been better then Embracer pawning them off to the next company like say Tencent.
It’s good to see at least some of Embracer’s studios escaping its embrace of death. A company the size of Embracer was doomed to fail due to low revenue.
dominating with what ?? boring FPSs , continuous bland Forza games and Halo branded mediocrities ... i think not..
i dont say that continuous Uncharted and GoW s is a better strategy but at least they keep the quality standards high, both worlds need fresh exclusive IPs ..at least for now Sony has the upper hand by far ..also the damn Nintendo although they repeating again and again the same IP , their expertise in making games is unmatched no matter the kind of game and always keep me hooked ...Zelda BoW is a huge title to begin their NX
The thing is they aren't in a dominating situation at all. While it's a smart move on their part, the move to support cross x-box pc support doesn't equal the huge numbers implied. In fact the actual numbers don't support them dominating anything.
First off, their dedicated X-1 console has sold roughly half compared to it's nearest competitor! That's almost 20 million less!!! And while PC unification helps boost the total install base of their platform, the actual active PC gaming community numbers are not so easily established. That number can not be measured accurately based on windows 10 installs. Only a fraction of those are actually active gamers and only a fraction of that fraction are using microsoft's store (MOST USE STEAM!) . Simply put PC doesn't help them as much as it might seem.
Even when totaled together they aren't dominating anything.
PC gaming to me has always been the best gaming. It just has so many options. For example, last night I was playing Diablo III, in 3d "thanks to VorpX" using a VR headset and it was ridiculously awesome. Felt like an entirely different experience.
I also bought a game I wasn't too fond of through Steam, and instead of being sad I simply got a refund.
This morning I was playing Witcher 3 in 4k, because I can.
Microsoft being the creator of Windows 10 doesn't realize the gold mine it has. Next Gen has been in their pocket for a long time, they just have failed to capitalize on it.
I hope MS does the right thing with Xbox and Scorpio and push PC gaming instead of trying to live in the past with Closed Consoles.
I can't believe people are complaining that MS is being very pro-consumer lol.
