The Division's "Hijack Extraction" is Completely idiotic

Added in update 1.2 "Conflict" adds in Hijack Extraction. This move is completely idiotic and will make players want to stay even further away from the Dark Zone.

Lonnie what are u talking about? This is a great FREE update. New incursion with checkpoints, 4 new gear sets and two new mission types in the open world outside of Darkzone.

The rope cutting is not that bad as explained on State of the Game the player will go instant rogue when starting to cut, which will take 5-6 seconds at which point they would be very vulnerable. Also if you shoot them their rope cutting timer will go up meaning it will take longer to cut he rope

The DZ was always advertised as a lawless area of the game. Don't like it? Then stay the fuck out or squad up and take the fight to the rogues. So tired of whiney pussies complaining about the DZ. Get better or get the fuck out.

I think the problem isn't the "get better" - it's that people have 'sploited their way to gear that other people haven't. There's no balance to it. I was in with a gear score of around 170 a few weeks back with a friend and even with two people shooting at a dude who was just seemingly there to grief, he had no problem walking through the bullets to take us both out. There's no fun or challenge in that.

@47 - there is a major difference in the dark zone being a lawless place and a killing floor - its not even a case of squad up because the game has been so broken that no matter how hard you grind you will find squads of people who have used exploits to gear up way beyond anyone who is playing the game how it was suppose to be played .

im sure a vast majority of players are not happy that this has happened or as you put it "whiney pussies complaining" but the fact remains if everyone stops playing the game and it is only left for the "Hardcore" overpowered players then it going to be even worse and a ghost town , so while people are complaining the game is not balanced it is slowly being suffocated by well people like you that do not seem to understand that games need balance in order to survive

gear score isn't everything. You need to break down specific attributes and how you use your weapons/gear. I run a 163 weapon and it destroys all my other 182 weapons in the dark zone and sometimes I have no problem dropping 2 or 3 people by myself.

I play on ps4 so there's less issues with people exploiting, another reason why I don't game on pc is because they're all entitled to glitch/hack/exploit the eff out of every game.

So you're automatically assuming everyone in the DZ has used gear exploits to gear up way beyond anyone else? What kind of gear exploits are you referring to. Cause surely you not talking about people doing the glitch on the incursion. Cause you can do the incursion 10x a day if you want and grind for better gear. They are adding a 200+ DZ for all the whiners crying about getting mowed down by proper geared players. Typical PC society. Nobody wants to work to achieve anything but cry's when someone else does it. Then goes on to say how it's not fair and blah blah blah.

I think what you're failing to realise there is that most people who are "complaining" stopped playing when people with overlevelled gear was a problem. Sure, stuff might be getting better but now we're even further behind with no inclination to grind an incursion (10x per day?! GET A JOB SIR!) to just meet up with people in the DZ. Why go in, get smashed over and over, all so you can break even with those guys already there? There's no upside to the time investment, never mind the amount of patience it would take.

I am always in the Dark Zone alone, my gear score is only 184 , dz level is 68.
I pay attention to my map and mini map, and avoid rouges and just do my thing. Of course I get jump now and then and sometimes it's a real piss off. But for the most part I do just fine.
If you want to play with the big boys in the dark zone , then you need to accept the fact that sooner or later the "Rouge's " are going to get you.

The DZ is completely moronic. The way it's set up it's all in favor of the rogues. You're dead before you even know you're being shot at so skill has no impact, it's just who sees who first and who has the biggest gun. That coupled with it being horribly unbalanced leaves me with no interest in going in the DZ at all.

On the PS4 I stream every reset of Falcon Lost since the 3rd week (took my group two whole weeks to get the strat down) Of the Falcon Lost on Challenge and we complete it legit. I did this because of the exploiters... There's players out there that can compete with these "over powered rogues" and win. I think it's a matter of finding a group of players who are willing to play different roles i.e. DPS, Support etc. I think today gamers are more afraid of a challenge... Maybe I'm old school but I remember playing Nintendo without a reset checkpoint and or save game feature.. I won't gripe to you guys but sometimes we need to stop crying and play the game.. The DZ PvP in this game is pure garbage. With maxed electronics I can stroll up to a party of 3 and one shot them them all with a stick bomb. There's nothing anyone can do about this because it drops them to the floor with zero warning. With the cut rope mechanic the lone wolf at the LZ can totally ruin your day.

I was really hoping that this patch they'd fix the outside zone more than the Darkzone. I tend to try to advoid going near rogue locations, as I'd rather just get the loot without being pissed off by people being a dick when they chose.

If they added a rep/leveling system that's in the Darkzone to the "lightzone" it would give people something to do who don't like being put into a PVP situation. It's the only reason I stopped playing for a few weeks.

I'm just worried that this up coming incursion is going to be arepeat of the first one. A boring mess.

I wish all math based level advantages were simply turned off ala' Crucible. A PVP game with the deciding factor of whose math is better is just stupid to me. The game would be so much more balanced if the only thing that could alter your damage output was your choice of attatchments, gear mods, and stat rolls.

For PVE, it definitely does. But for a PVP shooter, all it accomplishes is lopsiding engagements and boil them down to who has less of a life. Not who the better shooter is, or who is more on point with mobility.

There can still be light influences with level advantages, but as of now, better math inflates your character so far beyond reality that skill is completely meaningless.

I beg to differ.. Everyone has the same opportunities to be as good as the next player. The problem that exists is that some people don't understand the mechanics of the game. If your going for drops just because it has higher armor or DPS then your already messing up. I know people that don't even use or understand the calibration area. It took some research on my part to understand certain aspects of the game and what I should do to build a well balanced character. Now I can solo the DZ with little to no problems but a squad is still preferred. I'm currently at 255K DPS/87K Health/17K Skill. Find a balance that works for you and the game will become much more enjoyable in my opinion.

Not sure what you guys are talking about. If you truly think any MMO type game is gonna be a great single player experience you are kidding yourselves. Of course everything is going to be more fun/easier when you have a group of friends. The DZ is based on PVP, and in ANY game if its 4vs1 you will always lose unless they severely suck. We'll see after 1.2 if they understand the value of their PvE space. The DZ is what it is and there are strong feelings about it on both sides. But you have a large audiance that does include those who bought in on the PvE side of things. If the end game requires you to "get gud" in the DZ to enjoy it, it will be a blast for some and a sterss for others. Maximize your audience. Invest in your HUGE PvE area for end game players as much as you invest in your PVP space.

I agree with you that to help appease players that prefer a single player the PvE is a space for them. What I don't understand is players that complain about the PVP area for going in unprepared. There's numerous reddits and posts on how to gear yourself to the style of play you prefer. It does require a bit of reading but once you follow understand the mechanics and test it the game changes. I think for a game that's only been out a few months our level of criticism is high. I do agree the bugs need to be addressed but give them time to fix and balance before the Salem Witch Hunt.

How about just staying out of the optional area and sticking to enemies in pve you can dominate so you're not complaining about being dominated? All I see are the folks on the losing end upset that they are not the ones dominating. Why enter into an anything goes zone and complain?

I haven't been inside a dz since beta, maybe try that instead of complaining about getting rolled in an optional area looking for more powerful gear just so you can be the ones doing the rolling.
