Become a Gay Lego Superhero in New Marvel Game

Mortal Kombat X had a gay character included in its game. Mass Effect 3 also had an option for same-sex characters to have sex. The first Lego Marvel Avengers game included a lesbian love scene, but male characters were not able to pursue same-sex relationships.

Like, not even going to lie? This might be one of the worst articles I've ever seen. It feels like something someone written up to get some quick attention, especially with all the factual errors.

"The couple has not been officially recognized as a gay couple by Marvel" They got engaged in the comic and kissed on panel. That's about as officially recognized as you can get.

There are no "romantic relationships" to pursue in LEGO Marvel or LEGO Marvel's Avengers, nor were there any lesbian love scenes.

I see, still a little disappointed, ever since Disney bought Marvel they are obsessed with being "progressive". Meanwhile the general quality of the material has been slowly declining. Star Wars is taking the same track, although its clearly further along with its first iteration.

I doubt the young ones would even catch it, and those that understand should be mentally far enough along to not be disturbed by it. People disturbed by such things usually get that way later in life, when they become all judgmental and try to find excuses to hide their unease over things they don't understand.

I always find it utterly hilarious that the three types of comments in articles like this are.
1. "Who cares?" but I obviously do because I had time to comment on how I do not care.
2. "I'm not homophobic but..." or "I'm not homophobic, I have a gay sibling/friend/dog/etc. but..."
and the most said from the straight white male gamer
3. "Why are they shoving these political nonsense down my entitled never represented self, didn't we have that one gay npc in that one scene in the third part of that one game in the background, ugh they practically shoved it in our face!"

By the way the "couple" is not even canon yet to marvel, even after all these years. So they aren't really the gay couple in that one marvel game until confirmed to be so.

Being a heterosexual white middle aged male gamer, what bothers me more is how sensational articles like this actually are. Either that, or how they try to make such things into some sort of political agenda.

The comments are just opinions on the topic, but the topic itself is just misrepresented to the point that it incites people into falling into one of the 3 categories you listed, because if the game were actually doing what the article infers, then in some ways it should be addressed. But since it's not, does it even matter?

These are Lego games...when have they ever been something to take seriously? The entire premise of the Lego animated universe was to be satire and exaggeration on everything in an effort to be humorous, and it's actual positive takeaways is that you are only limited by your imagination...which is more a Lego thing in general.
