I seriously don't see how PS4 can still be missing out on features that PS3 has had for a long time. Features such as folders, viewing Trophies offline, appearing offline, downloading music, etc. should be a no brainer by now

akurtz2996d ago

true, but other options would be on the waiting list while those were implemented and there would be someone else complaining.

HarryMasonHerpderp2996d ago (Edited 2996d ago )

Not being able to put my games in a neat folder bugs the hell out of me. It's one of my top most wanted features, also being able to customise your background would be nice. I know you can pay for some or grab a few freebies on the store but you could download fanmade ones for free using the PS3 browser.

Isn't it possible to turn off automatic patches? I'll have to check that

The extra bells and whistles are always nice when they are inclusive with any console you buy! And sure there are enhancements that were present in the PS3 that aren't present in the PS4, but on that same note I personally didn't buy my PS4 for what I consider secondary functions. I brought it for its primary function, which is and, should always be to play vidio games! The moment it stops catering too, and neglecting to provide me what I purchased it for, is the time I will choose to search elsewhere.

By it being still early in the generation, just like previous console have evolved I'm optimistic that the PS4 will evolve. But I'll take a steady wave of consistent games over most of these features anyday.

Well said, a lot ppl seem to forget, or they did not shell out 600$ for a ps3 like i did. The ps3 was so stripped down it would take 2-3 years before it become the content rich and extra bells and whistles we know today. Honestly the only 2 complaints i can make about my ps4 is the fan can get pretty loud when playing for long durations and i think the ds4 is due for an update down the road like every console before it. If my mind serves me correct, the ps1,2, and 3 saw controller updates. Give me a cooler, more compact console, with an updated ds4 and ill gladly shell out 300 with a good game on another ps4.

Yea I don't know I found the PS3 great to play games and that's about it ;)
I use my PS4 in many more different ways as it's way more convenient to use the browser for you tube and all the extra like watching streams or fun matches I recorded.
I still have my PS3 (mainly for my kid now) and don't really get what people miss about it vs PS4

no matter what gamers will never be happy. MS/sony/Nintendo can't make everyone happy. even if sony were to fix all 10 things in few days there will be another article with 10 more things

i feel like n4g is becoming a top 10 site. almost all articles are about top 10 this or top 10 that

be happy with what we have. atleast now sony and ms can release updates to fix these issues in past gens you got what you got and that's all

even gaming journalists are starting to say that we complain way too much. it's like when batman released on pc and it was bad people complained. WB/rocksteady released a better version and people still complained

WB even said you can get a refund if you want yet people still complained. what's stopping WB from releasing anymore games on pc? so maybe once in a while calm down and appreciate the hard work that goes into making these games

it's like when people complained about mass effect 3 ending causing one of the original founders of bioware to quit gaming

DarkOcelet2996d ago (Edited 2996d ago )

Well, if WB didnt make a $hit release from the beginning, none of that would have happened, that is their fault and their fault alone.

No one would have minded if they delayed the PC version from the beginning to make a good work on it, instead they gave us a half @ssed release and that is unacceptable.

Giving WB a free pass meaning this will happen again and again. Oh and btw this started with Batman Arkham Origins, the PC port is not that optimized.

I can run current gen games with higher frame rates on Ultra settings than i can with Arkham Origins.

If we dont raise our voices, companies like Ubisoft/EA and WB will release unfinished games like Battlefield 4/AC Unity/Arkham Knight.

showtimefolks2995d ago

don't worry dark future WB games won't be on pc so than pc gamers will make petitions asking for the game to be released on pc

most big publishers are fine with consoles and if c gamers keep complaining on every game than moving forward most games may skip the pcv release(and pirating)

Malice-Flare2996d ago

you should have stopped at the first paragraph. i agree on that...

mentioning WB is still has a bad aura...

showtimefolks2995d ago

no doubt what WB did was wrong. in no way am i defending them. but when a company admits it's mistake and tries to make up for it yet pc gamers still complain

they offered full refund even if you had played through the game

My only real gripe about the PS4 is the lack of big budget titles that aren't M rated. While I do play M rated games a lot, I also enjoy gaming with the family too. Also I sometimes like to give my mind a rest from all the bloody gore and profanity and just enjoy some good clean fun. At least I got a lot of good ones for my Wii U, but hopefully we'll start seeing some more T and E rated titles on the PS4. A system this good shouldn't be limited to adults. The PS3 has lots of great T rated open world games. A new Sly or Jak and Dexter or completely new open world platformer would be great.

Deano19882996d ago

check out the hasbro family pack and the jackbox games

HarryMasonHerpderp2996d ago (Edited 2996d ago )

The new Ratchet and Clank is coming up ☺ Sounds like you would enjoy it.

1. The PS Plus monthly games on PS4 need a bit more variety when it comes to AAA's and indies. I don't expect AAA's every month but could Sony throw us a bone every now and then and maybe give us an AAA every 3 - 4 months at the very least? I mean Jesus... lol

2. The waits between new firmware updates is painstakingly long and then when they finally do arrive there full of social features and not the features people have been asking for. I feel like Sony is prioritizing social crap over basic and heavily requested features.

The PS Plus instant game collection, lack of updates and basic features that people have been requesting for a while now are my only complaints with the system with. Other than that it's an awesome system and a BIG step up from the PS3 in a lot of ways like the web browser, multitasking, controller, UI, way faster game installs, the ability to have up to 4 profiles signed in at a time instead of just 1 and features like playing games as there being downloaded, game DVR recording, livestreaming, shareplay, communities, suspend and resume, cross game chat, events, etc.

_FantasmA_2996d ago (Edited 2996d ago )

I used to brag about PS Plus. It was amazing and gave me a warmth that I could fall asleep loving life and wake up inspired to be a better person. Now I let my subscription run out in December and I don't think I'll be getting it back until I see 2 to 3 good big budget games a month like PS3 and Vita had. The only game from PS4's PS Plus list that I kept on my HDD was Resogun and that came out at launch. The next 25 months, I didn't keep a single game that was offered.
